Hugs is an exelent shop. They carry Sierra Pacific Risings Rick Simpson Oil. The oil that comes out of that tube his the best i have ever had. It doesnt take much to get medicated for hours. I have tried many others but nothing compares. Give it a try you will not regret it!!!
I hesitated to write this review because I respect most people for even taking the risk and responsibility it requires to go into this industry - still, I want patients to know what to expect. I went into this collective for the first (and only) time about 2 weeks ago. I have been to lots of shops in the Sacramento area as I live in North Sac, and I'm never really impressed so I continue to take my business all the way up to Foothill in Cameron Park. I happened to be in the downtown area for work and was staying in the area for the evening but neglected to consider my pain level after walking around downtown carrying a heavy bag all day. I decided try Hugs because it was the closest to me and I had to have some relief to make it through the night with my clients. I was shocked by the lack of product on the shelves and kinda felt bad for the staff who could do nothing more than say they were out of everything and apologize. Not sure who is in charge of inventory control, but it's awful when you go into a place needing meds and they have NOTHING to offer. I left with a gram of some horribly mediocre and overpriced bud and a free new patient pre roll that was basically low-grade shake and water leaf. I managed to make it through the majority of the evening, but had to cut it short to get home to some real relief. On a positive note, everyone was friendly and the place was clean and easy to find, not a lot of parking though. Again, I regret having to write a negative review, and I hope that they get it together. As someone who feels grateful to be able to find real, medical relief through cannabis, I respect those who are there to provide safe, affordable access - just get better at stocking your shelves!
Always gotten reasonably priced decent products. Budtenders were usually knowledgeable and friendly, but had some very lacking experiences as well.
This was my go to dispensary. They must have just raised the prices on edibles and they did not honor my ten percent off last Monday. Their bud selection is either really good or plain crap. And those are 20 a gram. Anything under 15 a gram is the worst quality of bud in sac. The owner better change shit or else they will go outtabusiness.
I used to frequent here often but lately the quality of the flowers is horrible and there is a small selection. I also don't understand why they can't put a description and picture up on this site for what they have. I definitely want to know what a $110 quarter looks like and what kind of high you get. I'll stick to my delivery spot that has top shelf real Buds at midshelf prices. Deuces!
I've had my card for over 3 years now, and this is pretty much the only place I ever go to. Every other shop will try to sell you on the most expensive weed on the menu. Not at hugs. If you ask them about a strain, they'll give your their honest opinion, regardless of the price. Many times, I've inquired about top shelf strains, and they're more than happy to give you that, but they're cool enough to let you know if there's a cheaper strain that they think is better. Almost every time, their recommendations are spot on If you tell them what kind of high you want.
The staff will remember your name, and if you go there enough, they will also hook it up with the buds. If they have enough in Stock, they'll almost always throw in a few pre-rolls for free, or maybe a chocolate or two. Don't bother going if you're a weed snob. You treat them with respect and they'll do the same. Simple as that. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes in there. They'll let you hold the nugs, smell it, break it up, etc.
I've been to a few other shops, but I never got the same welcoming feeling at those places that I do at hugs. If you're looking for a low-key shop with great variety and prices, there's no better in sacramento. Oh, and If they have Timmy's OG kush, Make sure you grab it while you can. Goes quickly.
one of the best clubs in Sac hands down! always hooking it up with freebies or a little extra weight. if you want a potent cheap edible try some of the bee chocolate

I've been to over twenty or so cannabis dispensaries in my life time... This is by far the worst medical marijuana dispensary I have ever been to..
1. Employees shouting back and forth in front of customers
2. Only 2 strains of sativas, both looked about a year old, dry; Mexican gabage
3. Appearance was just depressing, sad.
As someone who values my time, the only reason I write this is so I could hopefully save you your precious time.
Hugs is like a good local bar. They usually have what you want, sometimes they're out of it. They're usually in a good mood, sometimes they're not. If yer a easy going regular, they will have a great attitude with you. If yer a first-and-last-time, picky snob with an attitude, yer gonna get what you gave out... That's the nitty gritty.... It's like cheers, where everybody knows yer name. I love Hugs. I've been going here for YEARS.
So bought two innerchi clones last Saturday and was shocked they wilted within 4 days. Never had any issues with growing. So come back the following Saturday and I was shocked to see that they were selling the same innerchi clones all wilted. So I asked if i can exchange or refund the clones and was denied. I am a long time patient of the club. The specific clones obviosly werent properly cloned and should never have been sold nor still be on the shelf for sale. Who wants to waste money on wilted plants that have no chance at survival???
