Tang Tang is named twice for good reason, once for the citrus and once for the kick. GrindHouse Medical Seeds bred it in California as a Blue Sonja phenotype, with roots running back through Blueberry and Grapefruit lines to Afghani and Thai landraces. It later fathered Mob Boss and Pootie Tang, two kids that outshone it in Colorado.

The nose lands with sweet apricot, citrus, and pine needles over a heavy skunk, or as a tasting note puts it, ripe peaches against a zesty sourness. Others catch pungent grapefruit, orange peel, and tropical fruit over earthy herbs, with diesel and skunk punching through. The flavor stays tart and tightly wound instead of splitting into layers, finishing with a sweet-tart orange-soda exhale and a lightly spicy herbal note. Menu tags read cheese, orange, and tropical. The buds run bright green with slender, open calyxes, orange pistils, and a heavy coat of resin.

The reported ride is daytime fuel. It's an energizing, clear-headed cerebral lift with focus, sociability, and a cheerful, effervescent mood, over a mild body relaxation that skips heavy sedation. It's chosen for creative focus, social afternoons, and taking the edge off stress, fatigue, and mild pain. It has a cult following for the productive high, and one writer compares it to strong coffee. A little stays blissful and focused, and too much gets disorienting. Start low and slow.

GrindHouse Medical Seeds sells Tang Tang as regular, non-feminized seed, so growers sort males from females. Pure GrindHouse stock is rare and appears intermittently, and it grows indoors and outdoors. Vegetative growth is vigorous, with moderate stretch in early flowering.

Flowering runs long, with buds nearly done around six weeks and another three to four weeks to finish, or about 9-10 weeks, and yields are mediocre. The plant gets intensely aromatic by mid-bloom, so plan on carbon filtration and airflow. One home grower found it did well indoors in fall and winter. No breeder publishes height or climate targets, so treat those as unconfirmed.
