Og 1
aka OG #1
OG 1 sounds like somebody numbered the original OG and called it a day. The history isn't nearly that tidy. The name has been attached to more than one cultivar, and the available records don't support squeezing every OG 1 into the same genetic family.
Origin 1: OG 1 Kenobi, also circulated as OG #1, is an old-school indica-dominant cultivar whose exact parentage remains murky. Reports generally place THC around 18–24%, with the profile landing squarely in familiar OG Kush territory: pungent earth, pine, skunk, citrus, and fuel. The name has circulated for years without a well-documented breeder or definitive parent cross, so the mystery is part of the package.
Origin 2: A separate OG 1 has been attributed to Slap Happy Meds. This version is described as an indica with THC reaching roughly 17%, putting it on a noticeably different potency track from OG 1 Kenobi. Its deeper genetics aren't well documented, making it another OG 1 with more name recognition than paperwork.
Then there's One OG, a name associated with West Coast Cure. It sometimes gets pulled into the OG 1 conversation, but the available evidence doesn't establish One OG and OG 1 as the same cultivar. Until a breeder-backed genetic trail connects them, they belong in separate lanes.
Across the OG 1 versions, reports lean relaxed and heavy, with euphoria and a slower body finish frequently associated with the better-known OG 1 Kenobi side. The aroma stays closer to classic OG country, where fuel, pine, earth, citrus, and skunky funk do most of the talking. OG 1 may have the simplest name in the family, but its family tree is anything but.
OG 1 doesn't come with one clean grow sheet because the name covers more than one cultivar. OG 1 Kenobi, also known as OG #1, is generally described as an indica-dominant line, while a separate OG 1 has been attributed to Slap Happy Meds. Neither version has a well-documented breeder release with definitive flowering time, stretch, yield, or plant-structure specs.
For OG 1 Kenobi, the safer read is classic OG behavior: moderate stretch, sturdy branching, dense resinous flowers, and a tendency to reward good airflow and canopy control as the buds stack. A flowering window around eight to nine weeks is a reasonable working estimate for this side of the name, but it should be treated as approximate rather than breeder-confirmed.
