Humboldt Sour Diesel keeps the gas loud and sneaks orange and cinnamon into the mix. Humboldt Seed Company crossed Sour Diesel Bx3 with Humboldt Headband, producing a sativa-dominant hybrid with familiar fuel character and a warmer, spicier edge.

Diesel leads the flavor, backed by skunky citrus and an orange-peel brightness. Cinnamon adds a warm aromatic accent beneath the sharper notes. It’s a distinctive combination: pungent enough to announce itself, with something beyond straight fuel to keep your nose in the jar.

The buds land on the tray looking like tightly packed green clusters, reflecting the breeder’s emphasis on exceptionally dense flower structure. This is a stretchy plant that finishes with compact flowers, so the sativa label tells only part of its physical story.

Folks who’ve put real miles on this cut describe euphoria and creative inspiration, with relaxation giving the experience a softer landing. The breeder also notes an appetite-stimulating tendency, so a productive brainstorm may eventually turn toward what’s in the fridge. Gas in the jar, snacks on standby.

Humboldt Seed Company lists approximately 65 days of flowering for the photoperiod version, with an outdoor harvest window of October 5–20 under suitable Northern Hemisphere conditions. It can grow indoors, outdoors, or in a greenhouse, and feminized seeds have been offered.

Expect substantial stretch: the breeder says plants can double in size during flowering. Dense flowers and moderate mold resistance are also noted. That resistance is a useful trait, but the compact buds still warrant attention to airflow and moisture.

An autoflower derivative also exists, incorporating additional autoflowering genetics. Its listed 75–85-day timing belongs to that release and should remain separate from the original’s 65-day flowering schedule. It is a related breeding project, rather than evidence of an unrelated second origin.
