Blue Lobster
- Earthy (100% of reported flavors)
Blue Lobster brings blueberry to the surface and keeps a little gas underneath. Maine Trees selected, named, and popularized this cross of Apples and Bananas and Eye Candy, with breeding credited to Chris Lynch, known for his work with Compound Genetics and Cipher Genetics.
Sweet blueberry anchors the profile, joined by grape, tart fruit, and a lingering fuel note. Some selections bring more citrus or spice into the mix, but ripe berries remain the main attraction. There’s enough funk beneath the sweetness to keep this catch interesting.
Dense flowers show mint-green coloring with deep-purple accents beneath a generous coating of trichomes. That combination of color, resin, and aroma helped make the Maine Trees selection a signature release. It earned Best Terps and Gassiest Flower honors, plus second place overall, at the 2023 East Coast Zalympix.
A few database entries assign the name a Blueberry × OG Kush lineage. Those listings conflict with Homegrown Cannabis Co.’s own description, which identifies the established parental pairing above. They don’t provide enough support to declare a confirmed second origin. Similarly, Soloud Genetics’ S1 is a selfed seed release, not a separate founding cross.
Fans who keep this one in heavy rotation describe an upbeat, euphoric headspace paired with settling physical relaxation. Some find the experience sociable and mentally engaging; others report a quieter, more calming finish. The fruit gets your attention, while the relaxation can keep you anchored.
The Maine Trees selection and seeds sold under the same name should be distinguished. A clone preserves the selected plant’s genetics, while seed-grown offspring can vary in structure, aroma, and maturity.
Soloud Genetics lists eight to nine weeks of flowering and medium-to-large yield potential for its feminized S1 release. Its flavor description includes blueberry, grape, cranberry-apple, and fuel.
Homegrown Cannabis Co. lists eight to ten weeks of flowering, short stature, and average yields for its feminized photoperiod offering. These specifications apply to that seed release rather than every plant carrying the name.
Zamnesia’s autoflowering version has a separate 10–11-week seed-to-harvest schedule. That full lifecycle should not be confused with the flowering period of a photoperiod plant.
