Bred by crossing Apples & Bananas and Grape Gas, Gastro Pop is an indica-leading hybrid created by the founder of Compound Genetics, Chris Lynch. While there are numerous phenotypes, Gastro Pop #5 and Gastro Pop #28 are two of the more popular variants in the Gastro Pop family. The strain's aroma is a callback to both its parents, emitting hints of sweet grapes and crisp apples. The taste is similar, with flavors comparable to fresh fruits, especially berries, with a touch of gassiness. When it comes to its appearance, Gastro Pop nugs are typically small and compact, with shades of blue and purple. Bright orange pistils are settled among sparkly white trichomes and emerald green leaves.
