Black Cherry Punch pours on the dark fruit, then turns down the evening. The name covers two distinct indica-dominant hybrids, both known for colorful flowers and cherry-heavy aromas. Check the breeder before tracing the family tree: these punches come from different bowls.

Origin 1: In House Genetics crossed Black Cherry Pie with Purple Punch, creating a resin-heavy line with chunky flowers and plenty of color potential. New420Guy Seeds also offered a reproduction credited to Single Fin Seeds, preserving the In House lineage rather than introducing a third origin. That release is described as smelling like cherry soda, with dense, frosty colas and a lingering, deeply relaxing finish.

Origin 2: Pyramid Seeds lists Blackberry Kush crossed with Cherry Pie. Its version brings cherry and berry sweetness over earth, wood, and a soft floral background. Blueberry-pastry notes add another layer to the fruit, while violet and deep-purple flowers give the jar some visual weight.

Across the two lines, cherry does the introductions, but the supporting flavors change. The In House-derived reproduction leans toward cherry soda, with woody and hashy notes appearing in grower reports. Pyramid’s version puts more emphasis on berries, pastry, and an earthy finish. Neither needs a fruit-flavored nickname to get the point across.

Smokers who’ve spent real time with this cut describe an uplifting opening followed by a calmer, heavier body feel. Reports for the In House-derived reproduction lean toward prolonged relaxation and couch-lock, while Pyramid’s version is often described as physically relaxing with some mental clarity remaining. Sleepiness can show up in either conversation. The “Punch” is less a promise of instant knockout than a reminder that the sweet stuff can settle in deeply.

Flowering time depends on the line. In House Genetics lists approximately 60–75 days, medium stretch, and substantial yield potential. The Single Fin Seeds reproduction offered through New420Guy lists a shorter 55–60-day window, so its schedule should not replace the original breeder’s range.

Pyramid Seeds lists roughly 60 days indoors and a September outdoor harvest in the Northern Hemisphere. Actual outdoor timing depends on climate and maturity; grower reports also include later finishes.

Chunky, compact flowers make airflow and humidity control important as buds fill out. Purple coloration can become more pronounced under cooler conditions, but color alone is not a harvest signal. Let the specific plant’s development guide the finish rather than assuming every Black Cherry Punch will follow the same calendar.
