Good morning Ramsey Hamide (or one of his employees at main street marijuana dispensary) First I would like to say there's generally a very welcoming and friendly vibe whenever I shop in your stores. I mainly shop at main street east spending over $1000 in the passed 3 months at that location alone. The quality of the product is acceptable for the price. I've made some buddies in that place over time but unfortunately I will not be going to any shops owned by Ramsey Hamide any more. The service that I received today was the 3rd and last straw. When asking for suggestions on the type of product I wanted, your employee "Jay?" on the morning shift at approximately 8 : 14 am - 9 : 14 am 06 / 14 / 2018 directed me to the menus and I politely declined and told him that I prefer to look at the product rather than the long list. I asked for indica as he presented the menu to me again and started to kind of explain it as if he were talking to a child...we could call that condescending but it was very faint and I couldn't be sure. I respectfully inform him that I once again that I am not a menu guy and I would like to see the product. He presents a semantic obstacle in which I respectfully remove. He told me that I couldn't see the large quantities because they weren't on the display so respectfully I tell him that's fine I can look at the smaller quantities to see what I like he says "oh yea sure" ... obstacle removed I guess we can call that minor incompetence not harmful in moderation. We check out a few I tell him indica again he pulls one out I see it and I say I knew the sativas would look better than this indica not out of spite or anything just a confirmed hunch. I was saying this to my brother who was with me the entire time as "Jay?" says now sounding like kind of a nag and getting annoying "does it really matter what it looks like when you exhale?" My brother and I both respond "most definitely" "it's a mental thing." he kind of looks at us silly very briefly as I ask him if this is the only indica in the brand he showed us and he says "that's what the menu is for there's power in information" (really we know there's nothing profound about marijuana sales...lets be realistic here.) I once again this time elaborate for him since he is now becoming more condescending and irritating me I simply say "Whenever I come in here I ask for suggestions and I don't like to look at the menu" (because there are too many pages and far too many listings for me to want to spend that kind of time in a marijuana store and I dont shop by percentages because they aren't always accurate due to different test methods, testers, test samples, and decay.) he simply steps back and says "Imagine if you went into a restaurant and say that same thing" now more condescending sounding like I'm annoying him (as if he hadn't actually planned on coming to work to actually work or something) i tell him "Yea except THIS IS A WEED STORE not a restaurant and nobody ever gives me this kind of turbulence." (If i don't like something they suggested for the price range they scan THEIR menu and appoint me to another one that I say yes or no to.) finally he just laughs at my brother and me turns and walks off and walks back....I guess he needed to do a laughter lap? .... we can just sum that one up and call it bad customer service to be frank... to make the matter worse the I ask the 'wage earner' "are you laughing at me/us?" and he said "well yea blablablabla" I could't hear him after that because I wanted to put his teeth in the back of his throat because of his snobby little attitude. I wanted to give him a REASON to not like me...but I did not.... I simply said "get out of here man, excuse me miss can we deal with you? " she says yes and helps us further as the 'wage earner' "Jay?" walks away laughing and I think walks over and jokes about it to one of the other 'wage earners' (male tall white bald or very short hair) as he also strolls behind us laughing. at this point I almost left and gave those expendable hirelings a piece of my mind...but I kept it civil... once we are leaving I ask the hireling that checks ID's at the door what the 'wage earner's' name was that failed to help us and laughed at us....he looked at me confused like he didn't see or hear what happened and said "Jay? I think he goes by Jay?" I asked " you don't know the names of the people you work with?" and I said " I'm never coming back here again" he then replied "oh that sucks because I was going to suggest a strain for when you came back" almost as if he had actually heard everything all along...lets just call that minor deceit not too harmful but just icing the fucking cake for me. in my mind that was his buddy and he didn't want to get him in trouble...I dont know maybe his name was actually "Jay?" and im just still annoyed at "Jay?" whatever... i leave. I get home I call in at approximately 9:36am that same day after driving back home across town passing MANY weed shops I could have easily went to instead in which now I will go try them all and pick my favorite as long as its not owned by Ramsey Hamide or any of his partners...(I like portland weed better so I think ill go over there to smoke from now on.) At my home I call in to lodge a complaint against "Jay?" and "Sean" answers without telling me his name I had to ask...I ask for a manager and he asks me why I tell him I would rather speak with a manager since i dont know if I'm talking to the guy who I'm lodging the complaint against since silly me I didn't look at the name tag. the hireling 'Sean' keeps insisting I tell him why I'm calling before giving me to a manager. he wants more details....the phone is now his hostage until i tell him what I'm about to tell his manager and I tell him "this is why I will never come back to-" he hangs up... I'm pissed I call your manager at the downtown main street and describe the phone interaction and ask if it was normal protocol for non managers to screen a call in that way when customers want to speak to a manager. he says if there is he hasn't heard of it or to that effect. (UM NUH UH I GESS NAWT) come on man who's hiring these people man? anyhow I ask him to please report the two names to the owner of the company and he said he would but I have a very strong feeling that he didn't even write the names down because all his feedback consisted of was "I only know 2 or 3 people over there" whatever dude I just wanted him to write those names down and pass them to Ramsey Hamide but I will take it upon myself to personally contact Mr. Hamide and send him this message and or explain it over the phone... short story made into a long one I do not want to go to a weed store to read a bunch of meaningless text names and prices...i see what I want and I get it...it's that simple... any simple minded business man or woman with less than 101 info should know that in customer service and in any field customer / patient / client service will have to be adjusted and cannot be pre-prescribed to each DIFFERENT individual and it is up to the business to adjust to the needs of the people that keep you in business the motherfucker walking through that door with money in their pants....or they will simply take their pants with that money to a business that will... it was nice with many of you at main street but I will never shop with you or any affiliate company besides the growers that sell to the new shops I choose to become regular at. Thank you all that have given exceptional service, thank you all who gave mediocre because lets face it we all have off days and your on the hamster wheel of that whole 9-5 life I know it sucks so I feel for you all there...but to the condescending hirelings think of this every time you perform a customer service ...you are ALWAYS one relationship away from changing the rest of your life...whether it's amazing or disappointing...you never know whos toes you are stepping on...so do your job or look up the definition of an expendable hireling. Holy hell this place on a Sunday morning was packed. Then the way the transactions went were weird. You waited to get helped at the counter. Figure out what you want. Go to buy it, then you have to wait again to pay for the product. What the heck??#&"
Store hours is from 7am-11pm. I left to the store knowing it was close to closing time but had a few minutes to spare. I parked right in from of the store, and before I could step one foot out the door a staff member waved me off saying they're closed. My anxiety and stress levels were insane and I needed relief ASAP. The flower is mostly brown and sup-Par. They have a wide variety of concentrates and edibles at this store for decent prices, but I will not be returning since they turn away patients before closing time. 7am-11pm, should mean that, not 7am-10:55pm. I have shopped in-store and have used their online ordering system, both methods are slow. I still had to wait 15-18 mins to receive my online order. Seems like they didn't pulled the ordered till I arrived to pick it up. Anyways, product is bleh but cheap. Service is slow, regardless of process. Staff seems to have limited knowledge of products.
