Everyone in the staff from the chill receptionist girl in the lobby to the educated bud tenders (guy and girl) was extremely personable, friendly and informative. This place hooks you up with a nice big pre roll if you are a first timer like I was, but I highly recommend just buying the upgraded Sno-Cone joint covered in wax and keef for $10. They have a lot of different extracts and lotions, both of which I don't know too much about. Their edible selection is awesome and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the peanut butter and jelly cake. It may have been the best tasting edible I have had to date. AND to top it off they have a wide variety of green sticky buds and you can check them all out.
My review was removed! I still will say the same...Atmosphere was ok, the employees were very nice and helpful. The owner or manager had her child under 10 years old helping her running around the dispensary. Another employee was helping another young boy in the bathroom. They had a bum sleeping on the bench out front. It is located in the ghetto and is not a safe place for a dispensary. The quality for price doesn't match up compared to any other dispensary in Santa Rosa
I love OG's for medicating, and they didn't have any. Or high CBD flowers. I like this place, nice staff, chill vibe, edibles and concentrates, usually no lines and they have comfy chairs if you need to wait. Great value options for indoor, just also need some top shelf herb too, we will gladly pay $45-$50 for some gas, at least offer a few options of exotics for connoisseurs please :)
Very nice. I got there early on a Saturday and was able to chat with the hot girl about their products for a while before it got way busy. She was the only one budtending & then there were like 4 people behind me. So I got what I needed thou and not a bad price.

I question the owner's motives *cough* capitalizing on a non-profit for patients of alternative medicine. She lied to me about the cost of a product when I asked about a discount for a larger purchase. I don't expect to get offered cost - just a bulk discount but the owner attempted to sell at a 32.5% markup (which she did not know that I knew) telling me it was "cost!" I didn't feel very valued as a customer after that experience and the owner would have felt silly had she known I saw right through the BS.
When you come to northern California there are three things on your mind women, weed and weather. Alternatives has all three plus much more, if your big on edibles they have a huge selection from soda pop to cotton candy, if you favor herb over the munchies then they the herb just for you. From some of the best hybrids like AK 47 to girl scout cookies. And for those who like grow and provide for self indulgence, the clones they have are some of the best in nor cal. So for those who like to be around positive people and excellent customer care then Alternatives is the place for you. Peace & Love
Came in around 6:15pm and they were swamped with customers right after I began the new member app but they still had the time and patience to chat and answer my questions. I will definitely be returning to pick up some of their clones, they looked healthy and close to teen age for only $10! Also their solvent free ice hash selection was absolutely above and beyond my expectation. Rarely do I see a dispensary with affordable, greasy, and perfectly pressable ice wax around. Their wax selection looked on-par, flowers were nice, and their preroll was good quality for first patient gift. Pretty legit if you ask me.
I have been a member here since they were on santa rosa avenue. I am a single mom on permanent disability and I would take the bus up there from petaluma to participate in their copassion program. Over the last year they have made it almost impossible for me to get on and stay on the program.. once they "lost" my application with all my personal and financial info on it so I had to reapply and so that was a wasted trip.. I was able to get back on but then 3 months ago I brought in a friend of mine who is a new patient and I was told I wasnt on the list anymore since I didnt reapply.. im not exactly sure how im supposed to know when to reapply when they dont bother to tell you but anyway, I got back on. I just started school and between that, being sick from my disabilities and not having a car I hadn't been in for a few weeks. I stopped in today to pick up compassion and was told I was removed from the list again because I didnt come for 2 weeks in a row and that I would have wait 3 months to apply again. I depend on this medicine and being left high and dry without warning is anything but compassionate. They claimed to have warned me but come on, would I really jeopardize free weed and ignore it? I dont think so. They have no loyalty towards their customers and im dissapointed I gave them mine and referred my friends to them. In any other industry this behavior would not be acceptable, especially medically related. Boo alternatives for being a cannabis bully!
Alternatives sponsors a great many patients who cannot afford their medicine. Periodically, we review patients' qualifications to continue receiving free medicine because sometimes patients have found work or have begun receiving government benefits. These reviews allow others who are more needy to make the compassion list. "C," when you came in so upset about not being on the list, I investigated and learned you hadn't come in for a month for compassion (the written rule is that if a patient doesn't come in for 2 consecutive weeks without a good medical reason, they need to reapply.) During that month, patients were told they need to update their files to be sure they still qualified. I called you the day after you came in and left a message but you didn't return my call. We make every effort to satisfy paying (and non-paying) patients and wish you all the best.
Let me get this out of the way: this is probably my fourth review on any online site. I was impressed. The staff was incredibly friendly and treated you like they came in that day specifically to help you. Liz was my bartender. She patiently and with quiet enthusiasm toured me through their sativa edibles. Having experienced co-ops mostly in Orange County, the selection of edibles blew me away. Very high quality manufacturing. Liz was able to give me first-hand, honest anecdotes about each of my choices. This, by itself, should compel most edible eaters to join this dispensary. You don't get the usual, "This is very popular," "People say they really like this one," or "It is strong (or weak)" (looking only at the THC content). Liz was able to describe strength but, more importantly, the beginning and ending psycho and physical effects of each product. So far, her descriptions were spot on; and, I didn't have to go through the disappointing process of experimenting with a dispensaries' selection to find the right meds. She was also gracious when I changed my order several times after already gathering many items at the register, which she then had to re-stock. She assured me that her goal was that I get the medication I needed for me. The atmosphere was also very chill, with couches and even a lending library (2 or 3 full size bookshelves worth). I will get all my medication here whenever possible. You should too.
I don't smoke flowers. They have a nice selection of concentrates. Only place in town with nectars 710 and 707 select. I got a black diamond vape cartridge today and I'm hella happy with it. The staff is always friendly chill and surprisingly knowledgable. I keep coming back
