Shining Silver Haze puts the silver on the flowers and the spark upstairs. Sweet citrus, pepper, and earthy pine give this classic Haze hybrid plenty to say before the head high joins the conversation. Subtle entrance? Wrong jar.

Royal Queen Seeds developed this variety from Haze, Skunk, and Northern Lights genetics. It follows the breeding tradition behind Super Silver Haze, combining Haze character with a more manageable flowering schedule. Shining Silver Haze earned first place in the Highlife Cup’s Bio Haze category in both 2010 and 2014. The shine has some silverware behind it.

A silvery coat of ripe trichomes covers the elongated flowers, which can dry into surprisingly firm, compact buds. Sweetness opens the flavor before lemony tartness, pepper, and woody herbs sharpen the finish. Pine and earth keep it grounded enough to avoid becoming a straight citrus squeeze. There’s bite beneath the polish.

The people keeping this one in rotation describe a quick cerebral lift with energy, an upbeat mood, and thoughts that refuse to sit quietly. Creative tangents and conversation suit the experience, although that stimulation can feel fidgety for some. The body may ease up while the brain decides it has several more points to make.

Shining Silver Haze keeps its indoor stature relatively restrained for a Haze, with breeder-listed heights of 80–120 cm. Outdoors, it can reach 180–220 cm, so the compact indoor reputation doesn’t travel unchanged. Give it sunshine and enough room to show the taller side of the family.

Flowering takes approximately 9–11 weeks, with outdoor harvest listed for late October in suitable Northern Hemisphere conditions. That late finish favors a long, sunny season; a greenhouse can offer useful protection where autumn weather becomes unreliable.

Royal Queen Seeds lists potential yields of 600–650 g/m² indoors and 600–650 g per plant outdoors under favorable conditions. These are breeder targets, not promises printed on the seed. Feminized photoperiod seeds are an established release, and canopy management helps keep the taller growth from monopolizing the light.
