Raspberry Parfait takes the breakfast bowl somewhere more interesting. Ripe raspberry meets vanilla yogurt in this Humboldt Seed Company hybrid, delivering fruit and cream with a brighter, more cerebral reputation than its dessert name might suggest. Layers of flavor, a little lift, and no spoon required.
Humboldt crossed a Shishkaberry mother with a Truffula Tree father. During a collaborative phenotype hunt in 2017, Jennifer and Jason of Oregon’s Rising Leaf Farms spotted a standout in the experimental seed batch. Its distinctive aroma and effects caught Humboldt’s attention and helped bring the selection into the breeder’s lineup.
The raspberry comes through with sweetness and a tart edge, while vanilla yogurt gives the profile a creamy tang. Earth, woody pine, and a little spice can sit beneath the fruit. That yogurt note is the interesting part: creaminess with some bite, keeping the whole thing from tasting like straight sugar.
Frosted green flowers can show purple highlights, with orange pistils threading through the buds. The plant itself has an upward streak, growing tall and vigorously despite its roughly two-month flowering window.
Fans describe a happy, euphoric lift with room for focus and creative thinking. Light, sometimes tingly relaxation rounds out the experience, while some selections settle into a smoother physical calm. The parfait may sound like the end of a meal, but its following often reaches for it when the day still has possibilities.
Humboldt Seed Company lists approximately 60 days of flowering and an outdoor harvest window of October 1–10 in the Northern Hemisphere. The original photoperiod line is suitable for indoor, outdoor, and greenhouse cultivation and has been offered as feminized seed.
Tall, vigorous growth is a defining trait. This is a plant with more reach than its breakfast-sized name suggests. The breeder’s description does not establish a numerical yield or fixed mature height, and outdoor finishing dates vary with local conditions.
