Hawaiian Punch is old-school island weed with a Dutch passport. Sagarmatha Seeds worked with Hawaiian genetics in the Netherlands to develop and stabilize this tropical sativa, though the exact landrace pedigree behind the line remains hazy. What survived the trip across the Pacific was the part that mattered: a loud tropical profile and an unmistakably sativa personality.
The nose comes loaded with ripe tropical fruit and tangy citrus, while pineapple, melon, pine, and earthy notes round out the flavor. This isn't modern candy weed trying to cosplay as fruit punch. Hawaiian Punch was pouring tropical terps before half the dessert aisle had been invented.
The word around the dispensary is that Hawaiian Punch comes on happy, energetic, and focused, with an uplifting buzz that keeps the experience moving rather than weighing it down. The name says Punch, and subtle was never really part of the recipe.
The origins of Hawaiian Punch are somewhat mysterious. Sagarmatha took a Hawaiian landrace strain and was able to stabilize it, producing the fruity sativa known as Hawaiian Punch. It can be grown indoors or out in a warm, semi-humid climate similar to Hawaii’s.
As a hardy landrace strain, Hawaiian Punch actually flourishes and may produce much higher yields when grown outdoors. When grown indoors, the plants may be quite tall, so growers should regularly trim and prune branches during the vegetative phase. When grown indoors, it flowers over a period of 56 to 63 days and produces an astounding 33 grams of flower per square foot of plant.
