- Citrus (16% of reported flavors)
Hawaiian Haze takes the scenic route, with tropical aromas, earthy spice, and a head high that gives conversation somewhere to wander. Several distinct cultivars share the name, ranging from long-flowering sativas to CBD flower. The label sounds like a vacation; the breeder tells you which trip you booked.
Origin 1: Abraxas Seeds crossed Haze with a Hawaiian sativa for its version. The breeder emphasizes earthy, spicy flavor and an intense, sharp high. Broader Hawaiian Haze descriptions often mention pineapple, mango, citrus, and floral notes, but those tropical details should not replace the more savory profile documented for this release.
Origin 2: Cosmic Wisdom crossed Hawaiian Sativa with Neville’s Haze to produce a nearly pure sativa with an unusually long flowering period. Barbecue-sauce notes, spice, Haze funk, and lemongrass give this version a distinctly savory personality. Tall, slender flowers carry substantial frost, while the breeder describes a notably giggly effect. This Hawaiian brought something unexpected to the cookout.
Origin 3: Oregon CBD developed a separate CBD variety from DC Haze “CC” × ERB, offered through GTR Seeds. Tropical and floral aromas accompany a flower structure selected for production. Its CBD-focused cannabinoid profile belongs in its own category; the potency figures and intoxicating effects associated with THC-rich Hawaiian Haze do not describe this release.
Origin 4: Sour Family Farms uses the Hawaiian Haze name for a separate Trufaloha × Chimera #3 cultivar featured by Legacy. Its description emphasizes pineapple and citrus aromas with a sativa presentation. That modern cross has different parentage from the older Hawaiian-and-Haze releases, despite sharing their tropical name.
Longtime fans of THC-rich Hawaiian Haze describe an upbeat, social experience with talkative energy and a cerebral lift. Cosmic Wisdom’s account puts particular emphasis on laughter, while Abraxas describes a sharper intensity. A sativa label doesn’t guarantee focus, but these versions give the conversation plenty of room to stretch.
Abraxas Seeds lists 10–14 weeks of flowering, indoor and outdoor suitability, and approximately 250–350 g/m² in sea-of-green cultivation. Its line has also been offered as feminized seeds. Those are breeder estimates for that release, rather than universal figures for everything named Hawaiian Haze.
Cosmic Wisdom’s regular-seed version requires considerably more patience: 77–140 days in bloom, with the breeder reporting stretch of up to ten times the plant’s starting height after flowering begins. Its notes describe flowering small, topped plants and actively managing height indoors. The long, narrow flower structure and extended finish make this a project for growers who can accommodate both the space and the calendar.
The CBD variety and Sour Family Farms’ cross require their own cultivation specifications. Neither should inherit Cosmic Wisdom’s marathon flowering schedule simply because the names match.
