Halo OG has two documented genetic identities, both with OG roots and different branches of the family tree.

Origin 1: The longer-documented version crosses Tahoe OG with Larry OG. Its original breeder remains unconfirmed, but Southern California flower reviews documented this cross by 2014. Lemon, diesel, and pine give it a familiar OG introduction. The name sounds angelic; the jar smells like it siphoned something.

Origin 2: Mendocino Clone Company lists its own Halo OG as Headband × OGF1, part of its breeding program focused on classic, gassy OG genetics. The nursery identifies OGF1 as an OG Kush, Lemon Thai, and Pakistani Kush combination. Detailed flavor and effect reports for this specific cross remain limited.

The Tahoe/Larry version brings earthy pine and lemon fuel, with floral notes and resinous spice adding depth. A documented flower review described a sweeter, spiced exhale beneath the heavier OG character. It’s the kind of profile that puts the forest and the filling station within walking distance.

That same reviewed batch carried tightly packed, dark green flowers with abundant brown pistils. Dense structure did most of the visual work, giving the buds a compact, substantial appearance.

Halo OG’s Tahoe/Larry version reportedly gets the limbs buzzing before the eyelids start negotiating. Euphoria and hazy relaxation can arrive quickly, with appetite stimulation and sleepiness also reported. One early reviewer felt thoroughly stoned and physically relaxed without falling asleep. The halo may float. Your evening plans may have trouble getting off the couch.

The Tahoe/Larry version is described as a photoperiod plant, with one seedbank reference listing approximately 65 days of flowering and outdoor heights exceeding six feet. Those figures are reported guidance, rather than specifications established across every cut. Seed-grown plants may vary, making the history of a selected clone especially useful.

Mendocino Clone Company lists its separate version within its regular-seed breeding catalog. Its Halo OG flowering time and yield are not specified. The nursery’s eight-week figure for OGF1 describes that parent, not a confirmed finishing time for the offspring.
