Face on Fire puts lime and pine over a slow-burning Kush finish. The aroma comes in sharp, the flavor hangs around, and the name leaves very little room for subtlety.
Archive Seed Bank created this cross using the Jungle Boys’ celebrated #43 selection of White Fire OG and a BX1 line of Face Off OG. Most phenotypes lean into pungent pine, tart lime, and unmistakable OG funk. Others bring a sweeter, gummy-fruit note over a deep Kush finish. There’s sweetness in the family, but the gas still gets the biggest room.
The Vault Seed Bank later developed Face on Fire BX1, working a gifted cut through a Hellraiser cross before backcrossing a selected male to the original female. That is a distinct breeding continuation, rather than a second origin for Archive’s original cultivar.
The flowers develop rounded tops instead of the long, pointed spears associated with many OG selections. Archive describes substantial production of pungent OG buds, with the pine-and-lime aroma showing up across much of the line. Earth, skunk, and fuel deepen the profile, while that lingering Kush finish makes a quick exit unlikely.
Regulars who reach for this one describe an initial uplift with tingling around the eyes and face, followed by pronounced physical relaxation. Some report a clearer head early on; others find the experience grows hazy and sleepy as it settles. The face gets the headline, but the rest of the body eventually joins the story.
Archive’s original release comes as regular seeds, with medium plant height and a flowering window of 67–72 days. It is cataloged for indoor and outdoor cultivation. The breeder describes high yields, particularly compared with more modest-producing OG selections, but does not provide reliable gram-per-area figures or a universal outdoor harvest date.
Phenotype variation includes the dominant pine-and-lime profile and sweeter expressions with a deeper Kush finish. Rounded flower tops are another characteristic of the cross. Selection matters here: the same pedigree can turn up different proportions of fruit, pine, and funk.
The Vault Seed Bank’s Face on Fire BX1 is separately cataloged as a regular-seed line with approximately 67 days of flowering. Its backcross history should remain attached to that release rather than being folded into Archive’s original specifications.
