Double Kush Cake puts the hash stash in the cake tin. Developed through Sensi Seeds’ 2021 Research Project, it combines Skunk Kush, Afghani #1, and Hindu Kush. The two Kush parents explain the double billing, while earthy sweetness supplies the Cake. This recipe reaches into Sensi’s established genetics for something with more hash-shop character than bakery-window gloss.

Earth, warm spice, and dank sweetness lead the nose. Floral notes arrive alongside that heavier foundation, with curing bringing the funk into sharper focus. The flavor follows through with earthy depth, hash-like spice, and a softer sweet finish. There’s no need to invent buttercream here. The appeal is that familiar, richly seasoned Kush taste with just enough sweetness to round its edges.

Large, weighty flowers carry generous resin coverage, and the colas can develop tightly stacked, swollen bracts. It’s a substantial-looking flower with sticky credentials to match. The frosting earns its place in the name even when the flavor takes you somewhere closer to an old hash pipe.

People who’ve spent real time with this cut describe evening-friendly relaxation, with one grower comparing the opening stretch to old-school hash before sleep takes over. Sensi’s own account emphasizes a gradual physical unwind with a relatively clear head. You may still have a perfectly good point to make; whether it requires standing up becomes a separate discussion. Double Kush Cake gives the session a comfortable stopping place without needing another elaborate dessert metaphor.

Don’t confuse this Sensi release with the Kush Cake sometimes sold as “Double Kush Cake” and described as Cherry Pie × GSC. That reported pairing is a different recipe, not an alternate pedigree for this one.

Sensi’s feminized photoperiod release grows bushy, with plentiful lateral branches and a substantial central cola. The breeder lists approximately eight weeks of flowering, while its detailed grow report recorded 66 flowering days and 99 days from seed to harvest. Think roughly eight to ten weeks in flower, with the individual plant deciding the finish.

“Compact” doesn’t mean it stays ankle-high. The plant in that report reached 122 cm, and some branches needed support as the flowers gained weight. Sensi recommends the variety for indoor gardens and outdoor growing in temperate or continental climates. It also describes compatibility with SOG, SCROG, lollipopping, and supercropping.

The breeder calls yields generous, but its grow report gives conflicting final weights, so a precise harvest figure would add confusion rather than value.

Double Kush Cake Automatic is a separate autoflowering option incorporating Hindu Kush Automatic. Sensi lists that version as 70% indica, 10% sativa, and 20% ruderalis, with 49–63 days of flowering. That figure describes flowering, not the complete seed-to-harvest cycle.
