Angry Ginger
Angry Ginger has two family trees and plenty of spice on both sides.
Origin 1: Massachusetts cultivator Root & Bloom grows a selection of Red Headed Stranger × I-95, a sativa-leaning hybrid that puts citrus, pine, and cracked pepper in the same jar. Published flower examples land around 21–26% THC. The original breeder is uncredited.
Origin 2: Crop King Seeds markets feminized Angry Ginger as Orange Velvet × Deep Chunk, an indica-leaning offering with sweet orange up front and earthy spice underneath. The seller lists 14–19% THC; the original breeder remains unconfirmed.
Root & Bloom’s flower smells like lemon-ginger tea that went heavy on the ginger, with pine and pepper sharpening the citrus. Orange hairs crowd the resin-coated buds. The Orange Velvet × Deep Chunk offering takes a darker turn visually, with purple-tinged green flowers described as dense and frosty. Its orange-and-earth profile trades the tea-shop snap for something rounder.
The attitude is in the flavor. Tasting reports on Root & Bloom’s selection describe an upbeat, focused headspace with a body buzz that takes the tension out of the scene. Think shoulders down, conversation still going. The Orange Velvet × Deep Chunk offering gets a sleepier description: deeper physical relaxation, less interest in keeping the evening ambitious. Both have a relaxing reputation, but the cross and the amount matter more than the attitude on the label.
Root & Bloom hand-trims and cold-cures its Angry Ginger flower, but keeps the strain-specific grow schedule out of its public description. Flowering time, height, and yield for that Red Headed Stranger × I-95 selection remain unpublished; a public seed release of the exact selection was not confirmed.
The Orange Velvet × Deep Chunk version is offered as feminized seed for indoor or outdoor cultivation, with a seller-estimated flowering time of seven weeks. That clock belongs to that seed line. It tells you nothing reliable about when Root & Bloom’s cut is ready for the chop.
