The FreshTag 419 is both a brand and a cannabis consumption device from Yonkers, New York. It hasn't been around long, but the product is fantastic. It's advertised as the ultimate contactless blower.

FreshTag 419's story starts with two lifelong friends, Doug Rota (nicknamed Fresh) and Al Tagliaferri (nicknamed Tag). Doug and Al had taken a trip to Florida, and when they had a smoking session with friends, a rough prototype of the FT419 Blower was constructed. From there, the idea for the Contactless Blower was born. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Contactless Blower allowed people to consume cannabis together without exchanging germs and raising their chances of getting sick.

Feature-wise, FreshTag 419 states that its Blower is designed to give you the ultimate smoking experience. The blower is a battery-powered, fan-operated smoking device that blows smoke with just a button. The blower is easy to use and clean, and you can take it with you when you are on the go.

How do you use the FreshTag 419?
The FreshTag 419 is a simple device to use. It only requires a few steps and button clicks before you're blowing weed smoke in your neighbor's face.
Step 1: Insert AA batteries
This step is self-explanatory — put the two AA batteries into the FreshTag 419 before you can use it.
Step 2: Grind cannabis flower
Use a grinder or sieve to break those buds down.
Step 3: Add cannabis to the FreshTag 419 Blower bowl
The bowl is on the top of the device, where you add the freshly ground buds on top of the mesh screen.
Step 4: Light up the bowl
Hit the top of your bowl with some lighter/torch action to get it fired up.
Step 5: Click the power button
While lighting the bowl, hit the button on the side of the device and watch it shoot out delicious smoke at a rate that will turn your living room into a complete hot box within minutes.
Step 6: Inhale and enjoy
Enjoy responsibly, and when it's time to re-up the bowl, follow the same procedure.

How to clean the FreshTag 419 Contactless Blower
The FreshTag 419 is extremely easy to clean since you don't have to disassemble the entire device.
- Take out the bowl and place it in a plastic zip bag with salt and isopropyl alcohol.
- Shake until clean.
- Rinse with water and let air dry completely.
- Replace the bowl on top of the device.
You can also wipe down the device with a sterilizing wipe if it's been passed around by many hands.
FreshTag 419 Contactless Blower experience and performance
Performance-wise, the device works excellently. It's pretty simple, after all. The whole goal of the brand was to produce a contactless way of smoking weed that's easy to use. They nailed it.
There aren't any complaints to be attributed to the device or technical aspects to review. Even the flavor comes through on the smoke, which you wouldn't expect considering the constant incineration of the buds, but nope, it's there.
As soon as you open the FreshTag 419 Blower box, a little chuckle might float out of your mouth as you think, “What is this silly little thing?” That silly little thing piques your intrigue, so you grab that fresh eighth you brought home from the dispensary. After placing the weed into the device and activating it, you might be surprised by the rate at which the smoke shoots out. It's not subtle whatsoever, so if you aren't ready, it will catch you completely off guard.
After inhaling, you may also realize that you're now in a game of “How long can I stay in the fire without coughing?” For many, the answer is not that long, and gamifying the experience allows you and whoever you're smoking with to get an added layer of enjoyment when consuming cannabis.
Bottom line
In the end, the high you walk away with is substantial. After all, you did just take round after round of smoke to the dome in an effort to win a rewardless game of “Who of us can smoke the most?” But that's what you want from a device like this.
