Since its founding in 2012, Grenco Science has been a top name in vaporizer quality and production. It's known for its classic G Pen, G Pen Roam, and the G Pen Micro+, among other devices.
The brand recently released the G Pen Dash+, made for folks who enjoy dry herb vaping. We were fortunate enough to get our hands on one.
What is the G Pen Dash+?
The G Pen Dash+ is a portable, handheld dry herb vaporizer. It's a new and improved edition of the original G Pen Dash with upgraded technology and more functions.

The full kit costs $149.95.
Design and features
The G Pen Dash+ dimensions are 4.3 x 1.6 x 0.8 inches, and black is the sole colorway.
Upgrades from the original Dash and other features include:
- Magnetic mouthpiece: Keeps an airtight seal on your device
- Hybrid heating technology: Includes both conduction and convection heating
- Titanium heating chamber: Titanium creates a durable heating chamber that can sustain high temperatures
- Zinc-alloy casing
- USB-C charge: Powered by a 1800mah rechargeable lithium-ion battery
- LED display
- Temperature controls
Under regular wear and tear, Grenco Science also warrants the G Pen Dash+ against defects in materials and workmanship for up to two years from the purchase date. However, that can extend to three years if the device is registered on the brand's website.
Temperature settings
The G Pen Dash+ has total temperature control, ranging between 320 - 420°F. According to its website, this device will reach your chosen temperature in abound 20 seconds. It'll alert you through haptic feedback that it's ready to hit.
The higher the temperature, the more potent the vapor. However, you may lose flavor and nuance from the high temperatures burning off the terpenes.
Battery life
A battery icon can be seen at the top right corner of the screen, so you'll know how much battery life you have left between each session. On a full charge, the Dash+ will last up to 40 minutes of heating time.
How do you use the G Pen Dash+?
The Dash+ can hold approximately 0.3 grams of ground weed in its herb chamber, but you can also mix in some kief or other kinds of hash if you want a more potent hit. The brand recommends against using any other type of concentrate in this device.

Using the G Pen+ Dash is simple.
Step 1: Add ground weed
Pop off the mouthpiece, load your device with ground weed, and click the mouthpiece back into place.
Step 2: Power on
Press and hold the power button — the O on the front of the device — for four seconds.
Step 2: Choose settings and temperature
To access the settings menu, click the power button five times.
You can alter your session timer, toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, edit the haptic feedback settings, and adjust brightness.
Under the settings menu, use the (+) and (-) buttons to adjust the temperature.
Step 3: Heat
Once you've selected your desired temperature, rapidly click the main power button twice — your Dash+ will begin heating. When ready, the device will vibrate twice.
Step 4: Consume
Slowly inhale from the mouthpiece and let that lovely vapor coat your mouth and lungs. Exhale.
Step 5: Power off
When your session ends, turn the Dash+ off by pressing and holding the power button for two seconds.
Step 6: Clean
After it's off and has cooled down fully, give it a quick clean.
- Soak a cotton swab with Isopropyl Alcohol — squeeze out the excess
- Swab around the silicone insert and over the screen
- Swab the areas inside and above the heating chamber
If you notice a build-up of resin in the filter screen or you're vape is getting difficult to hit, give your device a deeper clean with these steps:
- Remove the filter screen and ceramic spiral path
- Soak them in Isopropyl Alcohol
- Clean off with a dry cotton swab and let air dry
- Re-insert into the Dash+ mouthpiece
Is the G Pen Dash+ worth it?
Typically, I don't like using dry herb vaporizers, but the Dash+ was a pleasant surprise. I tried it with three different temperatures — 300, 375, and 420°F — and each hit effectively.
The vapor from my Lemon Cherry Runtz tasted amazing. This vaporizer brought out a gassy, Runtziness unsurpassed by smoking it from a joint. Bonus: the hits were smooth and never made me cough. If that's an issue you have with smoking, you'll be good with the Dash+.
The high depends on whichever strain you're smoking, but I felt nice effects with this device. I got about 6 - 10 big-ass hits from each bowl throughout multiple 2-minute sessions, and I came out of it with heavy eyes and comfy relaxation. The all-around experience made me decide to keep it inside my lil weed sling bag from this moment forward.
Ultimately, the G Pen Dash+ proves to be a great device. The hits are manageable, you'll get adequately high, and it makes on-the-go consumption easy. It's a top-tier dry herb vape, for sure.
