The Dandelion is a misunderstood weed, sound familiar? We chose the name The Dandelion because strangely enough both cannabis sativa and the dandelion have lived similar lives in the public eye. While both plants have been viewed as weeds with no value the truth is very different. Both plants are very beneficial to the environment and have been used medicinally by humans for thousands of years. The Dandelion is 100% Locally Owned and Operated! What does your Membership Program Entail? The Green Rewards Program is offered to those patients who assign The Dandelion as their caregiver. Please inquire at the store to learn more about our member benefits. What if I have a medical card from another state, can I buy medicine from The Dandelion? Sorry, you must have a medical card from the State of Colorado to purchase medicine. When can I legally buy my medicine? If you are submitting a new application, we may accept your application, physician's certification and certified mail receipt for up to 35 days from the certified mail date. After the 35 days have passed, you must wait until your red card comes in the mail to visit our dispensary. If you have submitted a renewal application, per Colorado State law, we are unable to accept your paperwork in lieu of your red card, even within the 35 days. If you are a renewal, you must wait for your new purple card before we can serve you in our dispensary. Can I buy medicine from your locations if you are not my primary caregiver? Lived in Boulder for a very long time and just moved back to Denver. Was a member at the dandelion for a few years and thought it was going to be a similar experience in Denver. I have yet to find somewhere with as friendly and knowledgeable of staff, and as dank of bud as the dandelion. Just had to post a review to say you guys are awesome and the bud here is amazing, hands down some of the best bud day in day out you will see in Colorado. Have to start planning my dispensary runs around my trips to Boulder now.

I recently shopped at Dandelion in Boulder and had the most wonderful experience. I was hesitant because I am new to MMJ and am not very knowledgeable on the subject. But when I visited, I was assisted by Jamie (a manager, I think) and she was AMAZING! She was so knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable with my purchase. She explained EVERYTHING to me in a way I could understand. I told her about my medical condition that had me seeking MMJ and she knew exactly what to offer me. She even asked me questions on the type of pain I experience, so she could suggest something to target my kind of pain. She listened to me and I could tell was empathetic to my condition and wanted to help. I am not normally one who writes reviews, but I had to make sure to let everyone know helpful Jamie was. One of the best customer service I have ever received!! Thank you Jamie for your help!!
I have come to the Dandelion on occasion during the last 4-6 months since I first received my purple card this year and have always loved the great vibe the decor and little house had going for it, however I stopped going about a month or two ago because the staff have just completely killed it for me.
The moment I walk in the door I am greeted by a hectic scene of several people waiting to have their card scanned in, and several others relaxing in their couch area. I'm used to waiting because I shopped rec before I got my med card, so this wasn't an issue for me, so I waited patiently and finally had my card scanned in by the dude up front who was working that computer like a champ, and eventually I took a seat. After a few minutes of the line not moving, the employee at the front desk asked what i presume to be the manager (he called her Jayme I believe?) if she was able to take a customer due to the line getting increasingly longer and customers getting visibly antsy. She is silent for a second then sighs audibly from the room up the stairs, enough for all the customers in the room to hear and glance around at each other in discomfort, and as she steps out of the room, she walks SLOWLY down the stairs and sets her stuff and a drink on the front desk next to the employee still doing scanning computer work not even looking at her, obviously doing his JOB, and then finally asks the employee, "why can't you take someone?" My jaw dropped. Are you serious!? You are a manager? Who is unwilling to help out a CUSTOMER and your teammate/coworker while he is obviously busy with other stuff? I've literally never seen that before in my life, especially how she said it in front of everyone like we weren't even in the same room. The worst part of the whole thing was that the front desk dude actually ended up taking someone back himself while she took his seat at the front desk computer, I thought it had to be a joke up until that point. I was in absolute awe of the entire situation. Whoever that girl Jayme is, she really needs to reevaluate her priorities, because that is straight up rude and she don't even have that stressful of a job I'm sure. I mean you are selling WEED! How hard can it seriously be?
Dandelion superiors seem like they need to figure out their employees/manager situation because the kid at the front desk seemed more professional, mature and willing to help out way more than the person supposedly running the show up above. And it's a shame because I love the extracts and the $160/oz daily special for non members is a good deal, I'll just have to take my business to Native Longmont instead, as far as I know its the same bud minus the attitudes or the manager that treats their customers like a nuisance.

The Dandelion has some of, if not the absolute best, member benefits in all of Boulder! These member benefits along with their great customer service is why I will continue to come back again and again. Their $125 rotating oz. special is unbeatable in both price and quality in Boulder, and it entices me into smoking flower occasionally even though I am usually a strictly concentrate person. Now on to the concentrates, the Native Roots Extracts are simply amazing, and they seem to only be getting better over the past few months. Everything is so beautiful and stable, I really have nothing to complain about. However, maybe they could try and have a larger amount in stock at any given time because that would allow there to be more shatters at the $40 dollar price point. In addition, they would be less likely to run out of shatter in-between deliveries. Overall the quality and price is beyond acceptable. Another reason I continue to shop at The Dandelion is the wonderful staff. Recently there has been some turn over on the budtending staff, but Michael B. especially has really stepped up and made me feel at home.
Definitely the best dispensary in Boulder. The specials are always awesome, and there are tons of opportunities to get free stuff. The bud is one of the best, if not the best in Boulder.
However... I had been out of town for a few months and this was the first time I had been back. My card expired and I got my new one in the mail so I had to sign back up as a member. I was in the middle of the paperwork, when I got a phone call. This is word for word what I said "It's fine I'll spot you, just pay me back. See you when you get here" That was all I said..
All of the sudden a woman (not sure if manager or just an employee) that I hadn't ever seen there before starts going off on me and saying "You won't be shopping here today." I've been shopping here for years and have spent somewhere close to $20,000... I knew every employee there a few months ago, but I should say I didn't recognize this woman, or the woman at the check in computer. I started to try and explain that my buddy was flying back in from Atlanta and did not bring his debit card. He was on the way to Boulder from the airport when he called and told me that he would stop by a bank at some point but it was 6:35 and he needed me to spot him for the night (on alcohol, food, whatever it may be.)
I tried to explain this to her but she wouldn't let me get a word in. I told her that the call had nothing to do with weed and I even said he is 21, and has a card. Even if that was what the call was about I am legally allowed to gift weed to 21 year olds right? And why are you eavesdropping on a call I make in the waiting room from upstairs?
I should say I actually would have totally understood if she couldn't let me shop. I know how important compliance and governance is in the industry and I would never want anyone to risk their career so I can get high. That is not what I am upset about at all.
What I am upset about is the way she spoke to me. First of all, she wouldn't let me get a word in, and was extremely rude about the whole thing. She could have easily been like "Wow i'm so sorry for this but I can't let you purchase from us because I think you might be buying for someone else. I'm really sorry but please come back tomorrow" That would have been fine, and if she spoke to me in a nice tone instead of talking to me like I was a criminal I'm sure we would have sorted out the miscommunication.
So, after asking to sign back up, and filling out half the paperwork you couldn't have listened to me long enough to sort out the situation? I picked the membership paperwork up and walked out. Still not sure if I want to member up. Not because I'm trying to teach them a lesson or anything, but because it would be horribly uncomfortable to see that woman again.
Not trying to make them lose business over this post but I want whoever is her boss to know what the situation is. I am anonymously posting, but chances are the owner knows who I am just from this post. I just want her to learn a lesson about customer service. I spent around 20,000 just last year, and i'm not sure if I feel comfortable ever going back.
And other than future money they could lose... I had 1500 ready to spend on bulk shatter that day. Guess I'll have to spend it somewhere else.

We are aware of this situation, however please know that the manager you are referencing followed the appropriate protocol in accordance with Colorado state medical marijuana laws and our company policies. As you know this is a highly regulated industry and it is the duty of both the employees and Manager-on-duty to be aware of conversations and happenings on the premises at all times in order to best protect our business. As stated in our Patient Agreement that is signed by all patients before entering the budroom for the first time, all purchases made at The Dandelion are for the medical patient purchasing them, and it is our policy to refuse service if a discussion is had or money is exchanged that implies purchases may be for any persons other than the medical patient checked in and shopping. These are rules we must follow without exception, including the grey area of "gifting" medical marijuana, as the local and state authorities keep a close eye on dispensary activities.
The context of the conversation overheard by our MOD that particular day led her to believe the purchase was for someone other than yourself and the call was made to not make the sale when it was mentioned that the friend on the other line was also a medical card holder.
Again, we regret to hear of this experience and hope to reconcile this relationship. Please ask for a manager, Jamie or Rachel, next time you are in the area and have a moment to talk.
The dandelion has consistently wonderful options for flower, concentrates, topicals, and edibles. You can tell they're really a family over there, and Jamie and Will have simultaneously been wonderful to me each time I'm there! I feel so spoiled with the both of them, getting female and male perspectives really rounds out the experience. It's a beautiful little yellow house with lots of windows and clearly lots of love. I adore the dandelion and am so grateful to have them as my caregivers!! See you tomorrow loves!
I recently just signed up with the Dandy and I am constantly blown away! I have only been in a few times and they already remember my name. There is one guy who is freakishly good with names. It means a lot to be remembered at a Dispensary because there so many in boulder! I stopped in today to check out the specials and it was crazy busy. Shout out to the 2 super awesome cute guy budtenders( I think they were john and connor), they were by far the two most helpful I have had yet!!!!
