Nicer place, good bud

The farm has a great aesthetic appeal. The waiting room was large, open, and comfortable, and some of the strains were described very well to me by a knowledgable staff person while I waited. The buds were very high end, and I love their homegrown Gumbi strain, something like 9% CBD.

Excellent

I stopped at The Farm after flying in from another state. I'd never bought marijuana legally before, so this was going to be a new experience.

When I got to The Farm, I signed in and was called to the back after about 10 minutes. The customer service guy was very friendly and knowledgeable about their products. Frankly, I hadn't smoked pot since I was in my early 20s, almost 30 years ago. So I asked about the various sativa varieties (I'm not interested in indicas), and he answered all of my questions completely.

But there was more than that. Since this was my first time buying pot legally, I mentioned a bunch of things not relating directly related to pot, and he was happy to talk without hurrying me to decide which strains I wanted. Try that anywhere else. (Go to Wendy's and say, "Hey, I'm from Tibet and have never seen one of these cool hamburger joints before," and see how receptive the harried order taker is.)

So I walked out with several gram samples of good sativas and sativa-based hybrids, plus a new ceramic pipe. And a good feeling about the staff and the store in general.

So terrible.

First off, when I ask for top shelf, I should not get seeds. Especially at these ridiculous prices. After being quoted more than $60 for an eigth of seedy shit, I walked out, and went to the green room and got an eight of chronic for $48 AFTER taxes. You are paying for their stupid storefront full of extremely overpriced glass and tshirts which only an idiot would waste their money on. I get that the storefront is supposed to be nice for people who are waiting, but it is full of hippies, and the chip system makes things feel shady, even though it's supposed to do the opposite. They inherently have to pay more for the storefront, so they overcharge their customers in order to pay for all that extra space, which doesn't do anything for us consumers. Go to the station or the green room if you are in the area. Better prices, better atmosphere, and haven't found any seeds so far. Also staff is genuinely friendly. Not trying desperately to be. Also ridiculous wait times.

Sad visit

Inconsistant product. Staff too cool to help with specific need. I traveled far to visit The Farm in Boulder. The Farm is not the same loving place it once was.

The Gold Standard for Rec Dispensaries

The Farm is by far the best! I consider them the Gold Standard in all aspects of the biz. I have become a loyal Farm client for the past 4 months now. I love the aroma as soon as you walk inside. The atmosphere in the front is awesome, relaxing, very casual, and quite laid back. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, yet perform their duties to the letter of the regulations without being jerks about it. They also know their stuff. It is always a pleasure to talk to them about the genetics of their top quality product(s). I also consider their low end up on the top shelf quality.

I have this habit of comparing today's cannabis to back in the day (30+ years ago), when I had to stop when I went in the service and did that for a career. With that, I am a flower consumer exclusively (my personal preference, still). Anyway, my latest visit was this past Friday. Wade was my budtender in the back. I knew what I wanted off the bat going in and told him so. But I had this feeling he was also one of their growers, as he explained how some of their first signature strains weren't that great, explained genetic defects. I bought the DJ Short Flo, as I wanted the CBD content as well as the THC. I read the strain description, the parentage I am familiar with as far as each one separate. Wade and I talked at length on their merits and agreed that DJ Short Flo just might the strain I was looking for. He was absolutely correct. To me, it was like an Indica high without the couch lock and drowsiness, but pain relief and body buzz was great.

I have always gotten a great product; the flower each time was nice, extremely little shake in the container, and just fantastic nugs covered with the cannabinoids' crystals just covering the entire flower; a stoner's dream! I also like the fact that they grow their own, all natural and organic......med quality for the rec market.

Their location I think is perfect. Unlike a lot of dispensaries in Denver, which are in borderline sketchy areas of town, here it is in a nice area of Boulder. Prices are typical for the rec market, but I like going during their Early Bird hours and negate most of the "sin" tax the state imposes for recreational weed. Parking is limited, so that would be my negative. Overall, The Farm is really a primo dispensary and the Gold Standard of the market! Bravo Zulu.

Great place, great folks, great bud

First timer, visiting from out of state. Treated like royalty. The knowledge and helpfulness of the bud tenders and the front of store staff was as it should be. I'll be back.
