I have been in the industry since 2009 and there are only 4 places I recommend in the whole state of COlorado in Helping Hands is one of them!
Helping Hands staff is bar-none some of the friendliest staff I've ever met, they are compassionate and knowledgeable. Management is top notch and the products are amazing. They have been breeding their own strains for several years and there are a couple that blew me out of the water. Grilled Cheese and Gupta Kush are amazing strains. The grilled cheese (OG Kush x UK CHeese) was literally the first time I can remember not being able to finish a whole cone by myself in many many years. oh, and they have a budtender who's name is literally "Sativa"... need I say more?
The only downside is the whole Pearl Street location. I come from outside of Boulder so it's sometimes difficult finding a decent parking spot, but I guarantee that even if you had to park a mile away, you will be thankful you did.
Stopped into HHH yesterday after a bust at MGRD and it was like fate. The spot is kind of hard to get to and paying for parking is a bummer after a drive up from Denver but the dispensary gets everything else right. They have a pretty vast variety that just isn't available elsewhere and I really like the organic methods that they use. But quite possibly the biggest sell for me is this places mad bud scientists that are cranking out new strains constantly. I'll be honest I get bored easily with the same OG strains at literally every shop and HHH's vast and rotating menu means I finally won't be bored after 2 months. The flower is top for me (I don't do edibles or concentrates), I've been getting a lot of Denver bud that is just pumped full of too many chemicals to boost potency that just doesn't even work in the first place. So getting HHH's organic buds into my hands was exactly what I needed, I picked up an 1/8 of Gupta Kush, Shrooms and Hindu Kush plus a gram of Hawaiian Urkle aka "Hippie Ritalin". I was very impressed by the buds I took home even though they do the whole show you a select amount in a small jar thing and don't show you the buds you take home until you're out the door. Shrooms was a let down even though the nug I had was gorgeous, it was described as being a psychedelic high but I just felt about a 3.5 on the stoner scale and not much else. Gupta Kush was awesome probably a 4 or 5 and if consumed in high amounts would produce devastating couch-lock even for an experienced smoker. Hindu Kush wasn't much fun but it worked medically speaking in that it was total mental fog and eased me into a nice sleep. Hawaiian Urkle was suggested to me by my incredibly intelligent budtender and she was exactly right, it is a perfectly balanced sativa/hybrid mix (HHH has it listed as an I/H) that has lasted for about 2 hours, not racy or anything but just a great mental buzz. Finally we have their pricing and that will help ease my journey from Denver every time, if they were located in Denver they could easily double their prices and people would still pay (case in point Fox street member med oz=365) but member pricing is at 165 an oz! I will be back soon and hopefully make them my caregiver soon as well. I would recommend HHH to anyone who's looking for quality meds that are grown the correct way at a unbeatable price.
Anyone who gripes about rec prices is griping at the taxes - up to 30% - and when you go to a Rec shop that has $10 grams, $90 1/2 oz of popcorn nugs and shatter on sale every day, f--- u if you don't think you're swimming in shit you're just being a spoiled douche. If you don't like the taxes, get your medical card. The Helping Hands buds is organic and the prices are right on especially for interesting strains not the same shit you can get anywher else. This place can get super busy but that's awesome for them they have earned the right to be busy. I love the staff and the flower. Parking can be a dick sometimes but that's life in boulder.
I've been shopping here for some time. This place has good prices, deals, and the quality is ok. I feel that the employees are very arrogant at times. They discourage people from buying their own products. The one item that will ultimately break the deal between me and Helping Hands is their annoying bag policy and the employees constant shaming of all the customers over the bag policy. Oh well, everybody should at least check them out once.
Bought 6 seeds of Gupta's Kush and 6 of Medicine Man. 5 days after planting, they started breaking through the soil. After 7 days, all are up and looking healthy! Thanks for being one of the only local dispensaries to offer seeds. I'll let you know how they turn out. We're growing outdoors, the 1st crop since before the 2010 fire, where we lost not only a whole batch of beautiful girls, 2 weeks from harvest, but the greenhouse, too. Mahalo(thanks in Hawai'ian) Helping Hands Herbals for your kukua(help). I don't know where we'd be without you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stop in for their $10 rec gram deal, usually two or three strains on deal each day. It's a sick deal but even their regular bud prices are fair considering its organic. super staff, always cool and helpful, remember my purchases and the place is really homey and cool, no presha sales.
It's been 5 years that I'm a customer and still always super happy. Anyone with anyone bad to say sounds like they just didn't get their way - the member grams are actually not a special kind of strain - you can choose from any one you want and i've never once had a bud "turn to dust". That's silly. But the good things are that the rec shop has also really fair prices and so when my friends come to town we can go and pick up some treats for them since I usually shop medical. Anyhow, alwyas great location, beautiful buds, cool staff and location downtown is spot on.
Of my last ten to twelve purchases I only got one dank bud. And thats with a volcano AND a Kandypen. No flavor no aroma. And the member grams are all old and crumbly. one almost flaked into dust it was so dry.
