I have to say that as my 87th dispensary in MD, Goldleaf has the classiest employee dress code matched only by the attractiveness and friendliness of their staff. Sarah was my wellness consultant and easily assisted me with my selection from a wide variety of products. It's definitely worth coming here just for the experience alone, I just wish I lived closer.

I was lucky to catch a Grow West pop up event at Greenhouse Wellness and even luckier to try Pie Crust. An excellent, uplifting strain with extra sticky buds that imparted a somewhat unique, very enjoyable kind of functional euphoria that distracts my focus from pain and also diminishes it, for me anyway. It was enough to go back and buy a half ounce! While talking to their growers, I was impressed by how they conveyed the love and care they provide for their crops, it's evident in their finished products. I'm assuming they started as a grower to fund their development as a dispensary. Just the kind of business I like to support for all their efforts. I'm pretty sure they'll be open by June, so not much longer to wait. It'll be worth it. p.s. I won the GW pipe at the raffle! I guess it really was my lucky day, thanks Grow West!

Everyone at Takoma Wellness Center is top notch and a pleasure to work with, but I'd like to give a shout-out to the guy who maintains the inventory and fills all the orders, Josh Kahn. It's a thankless job, but he's dedicated to fulfilling every one accurately and quickly, ensuring adherence to DC's mandates. Josh's use of the receipt as a checklist ensures there's no surprises when you arrive home to open your package. I've been to 70 dispensaries in the area and nobody else does this, as a result I've experienced a few order mixups elsewhere. So I hope that if you're fortunate to see him, tell him thanks to show your appreciation, he deserves it!

Ally is a truly outstanding wellness consultant who genuinely cares about her patients' needs at Blair Wellness Center, my 45th MD dispensary. Ask her and you won't believe how dedicated she is to this profession! She patiently waited for me to scope out the menu, I chose several products she recommended, which were also 30% off, and are providing relief as I'm typing. Be sure to check out their separate CBD/Holistic shop and pick up a snack for the trip home.

August 1st marked TWC's 5th anniversary and while I missed the Acupuncture portion of the program, I did catch the tail end of Tazz's joint rolling demonstration (he said I just missed the one handed rolling demo when I asked!). Sage from Liberty gave an informative presentation on how he processes flower into concentrates, answering lots of questions from the audience. He's also a chef and I'm looking forward to new and exciting products from him. Lastly, my man Darrell, set me up with a bunch of items on sale, including cacao squares. All told, the 5th anniversary celebration was a great success and second only to the overall success of TWC, DC's hands down, premier dispensary. Thanks for all the years of relief you've provided to all of your satisfied patients.

If you're like me, I'm usually using several vape cartridges and keeping track of which one is which is very tedious because there's little to no identification on them. But each PAX Era pod is labeled with it's strain name, eliminating that headache and replacing it with relief. There's even a wellness consultant at Liberty aptly named Era-ka (actually it's Erika) and she'll recommend the best pods for whatever ails ya.

Compared to the 36 other dispensaries I've been to, the sheer size and layout of Chesacanna is THE most impressive one - it's truly awesome! They actually have a library, kitchen, and a huge fishtank. Kudos to Mark for his well thought out design. Trevor was my wellness consultant and was extremely knowledgeable of their products, especially since his maladies are similar to mine, and his recommendations were spot on. Their 3 tiered pricing model gives you quantity discounts for the total weight of ALL strains purchased (within that tier) which substantially saves you money. Imagine buying an eighth of 8 different strains and paying the cost of an ounce. In their adjacent retail store, there's something for everyone and Ash suggested several unique items that I've enjoyed. I highly recommend you experience Chesacanna yourself, you'll be glad you did.

Years ago, I used to drool over TWC's spectacular pictures on StickyGuide, but with DC/MD reciprocity it's now a dream come true. Not only is this a family owned business, everyone there acts cohesively as a family. And after just a few visits with Stephanie, Ramses, Darrell, and Tazz, I feel like a part of the family as well. Want some good advice? Just tell them your concerns and they'll give you great recommendations. Each and every one has been right on, they're 8 for 8, that's hard to beat!

Got some newly released products today that I haven't seen anywhere else. The PAX Era cartridges are so convenient and the Jack Herer x PPK vape cartridges are a one-two punch to pain. Have to give Erika a gold star for being such an attentive, personable wellness consultant who readily establishes customer rapport!

Here's the official word from their email today and posted on their website. "This is just a quick note to let you know that we ARE NOT OPEN.  We have noticed some messages online and on social media that we are opening today but, in fact, we are waiting on the next commission meeting on June 28 to be voted in. We hope to be open the end of July!"

Just wanted to thank Krystal and her folks at RISE Silver Spring for hosting the Temescal Wellness' Extraction Specialist on Sunday. The "Dabbing 101" presentation contained a lot of helpful, valuable information and the Q&A clarified issues that quite a few attendees had, present company included. Maybe even I could be a wellness consultant now! After visiting 33 dispensaries in MD, RISE Silver Spring has the largest inventory, is meticulously organized, and based on my conversations with patients in all those waiting rooms, probably considered to be the classiest, hippest dispensary around. With free parking!

I like supporting family owned businesses in general, especially when they exhibit an eagerness to please like the friendly folks at Dispensary Works. While they've only recently opened, they have a larger inventory than I expected and it's growing. Google Maps might tell you their location is in the loading docks of an HVAC company, but they're about 100 yards further down the road, just look for their sign. They're definitely worth visiting.

On my first visit, I had the distinct pleasure of having Britanni as my budtender. She's extremely personable and enthusiastic about ensuring that you get the best product for what ails you. From deli style jars, she picked out the biggest, best looking buds, one of which weighed nearly an eighth! She even put it in a special container so it wouldn't get broken. No other budtender has demonstrated this much commitment to customer service for me. She made me feel as though I was a member of the family. In the coming months, all dispensaries will expand their inventories and will be relatively comparable. Customer service will be the discriminating factor. Whenever I'm in the area, I'll be visiting Southern Maryland Relief.
