Sour Giesel
Sour Giesel runs on two breeder recipes, both with fuel in the family.
Origin 1: Top Dawg Seeds pairs Giesel with Sour Diesel BX3, a backcross line developed around Sour Diesel. The pedigree puts Chem-and-Skunk ancestry beside a concentrated Sour branch. Public records establish the cross, but leave its potency and selection-specific flavor profile largely undocumented.
Origin 2: CSI Humboldt’s Sour Diesel × Giesel uses a reversed Giesel parent. Seed listings describe sour citrus, diesel, and earthy herbs; growers add savory onion funk and, in one selection, a buttery skunk note. There is plenty of gas here, with the occasional complaint from the kitchen. No dependable THC range covers the release.
The limited feedback attached to Sour Giesel products includes a pronounced mental high, but it does not establish a shared effects pattern across these seed lines. Cresco markets its Sour Diesel × Giesel #5 selection as sativa-leaning. That label is useful context, not a promise of focus, energy, or a couch-free finish.
Top Dawg’s version is documented as regular photoperiod seed, with a listed flowering window of 8–9 weeks. CSI Humboldt’s version is offered as feminized photoperiod seed and listed at 8–10 weeks. Both have indoor and outdoor cultivation records; those schedules describe flowering rather than total time from seed.
CSI grow accounts show differences between selections in leaf shape, flower structure, and aroma. Reliable numerical yields, mature heights, and outdoor harvest dates are not established for both versions.
