Purple Diamond is a choice hybrid strain from RedEye Genetics. The breeder crossed a Mt. Rainier male with Mendocino Purps, a pairing that produces striking purple shades, berry fragrance, and heavy trichome coverage. The result, which flexes a balance of indica and sativa characteristics, is a handsome and flavorful bud that doesn't sacrifice potency. One grower, Nevada-based Kynd, describes its colorful batch as fruit-forward and gassy, with comforting, soothing, and uplifting effects. A lesser-known breeder, Diamond Rock Genetics, developed a strain under the same name, this time by crossing Twisted Diamond with Purple Punch.
