Strain Description

Also known as Mendo Purps and The Purps, Mendocino Purps is a strain with somewhat cloudy origins The strain was reportedly bred in Northern California’s Mendocino County. Online sources claim it was available as a clone only until 2004, when Canadian seed bank BC Bud Depot worked seeds from a Mendo Purps into an inbred backcross line (IBL) that became known as The Purps. The seed bank reports the strain grows both indoors and outdoors, producing dense yields of purple nugs in a 49-56 day flowering cycle. Growers may notice a strong, lingering grape flavor and uplifting effects. The Purps won 3rd Place Sativa Cup at the 2009 High Times Cannabis Cup.
