Ice Cream Haze takes the scoop straight into the smoke shop. Developed by breeder Antonio and released through Dutch Passion, it crosses Crockett’s Haze with Ice Cream Cake, bringing old-school Haze spice into a decidedly creamier conversation. Years of selection and hand pollination went into the project, which earned Best Growing Product at the 2024 Cannabis Industrie Awards. That trophy recognizes the breeding work; the jar handles the introductions.
Spicy Haze leads the nose, followed by tropical fruit, thick cream, and a lightly earthy finish. Some plants lean harder into the fresh, pungent Haze character, while others bring the sweeter cake side forward. The most interesting expressions let both talk at once: fruit and cream on the inhale, enough spice underneath to remind you this scoop came with rolling papers.
Long, spear-shaped flowers carry a conspicuous coating of sticky trichomes. More cake-leaning plants can produce tighter, more compact buds, while Haze-heavy expressions keep the elongated silhouette. Grower GoodTimesOrganic singled out the intense sweetness and resin coverage of their selection, rating the strain a personal favorite. The frost fits the name; refrigeration is strictly metaphorical.
The online smoke circle notes this one lands energetic and euphoric with a dreamy edge. It can creep up rather than announce its full strength immediately, so that easy opening doesn’t necessarily tell the whole story. Think an album becoming an event and a casual conversation acquiring three side plots. Creativity gets an invitation; laser focus doesn’t automatically RSVP.
Ice Cream Haze is available as regular and feminized photoperiod seed, with approximately 8–10 weeks of flowering. Its early regular-only history should not be mistaken for its current seed options.
Leave room above the canopy. Plants can stretch for 2½–4 weeks after the switch to flowering, and the long, heavy colas may need support. Dutch Passion recommends Sea of Green or Screen of Green approaches. One indoor grow finished flowering in eight weeks and reached 1.55 meters, despite topping and supercropping. That’s one plant’s result, but it makes the headroom point rather efficiently.
Indoor yield estimates vary by listing, roughly 600–700 g/m² under favorable conditions. Outdoors, warm, sunny, relatively dry conditions suit it better than a cold, wet finish. Large plants can approach 3 meters and produce approximately 500–1,000 grams per plant, with higher returns possible in favorable conditions. These are potential harvests, not a promise printed inside every seed.
