Frozen Bananas

Frozen Bananas is the name of two hybrid strains with slightly varying effects. Both are susceptible to confusion with Frozen Bananaz, an unrelated sativa-dominant hybrid bred by Prolific Growhouse, and the Frosty Bananas strain from Elev8 Seeds, an indica-dominant hybrid with more fluffy foliage.

Origin 1: Indica-leaning hybrid (Symbiotic Genetics)

Bred by Symbiotic Genetics, one of the most popular varieties of Frozen Bananas is a cross of Cookies & Cream with Banana Punch #9 that stays true to taste with a grassy and herbal aroma of just ripe bananas. Most describe a potent strain that gradually settles into a cozy couchlock, with a thick layer of icy trichomes over vibrant green and purple foliage.

Origin 2: Balanced hybrid (Unknown Breeder)

Known for its similarly high potency and excellent bag appeal, the other popular variety of Frozen Bananas is a cross of OG Kush and Banana Kush. Though it’s hard to trace to an original breeder, both parent strains combine to produce buds with stellar trichome production, colorful foliage, and a spicier, more dank take on the banana flavor profile.
