Bruce Banner

Bruce Banner is the strain that made getting angry look pretty damn appealing. Created by Jason Holck of Dark Horse Genetics, the Colorado-born hybrid crosses an original OG Kush cut with Reservoir Seeds' Strawberry Diesel. Holck began working with the Strawberry Diesel genetics after scoring the seeds in 2006, made the Banner cross after returning to Denver, and released it through Delta 9 as a house strain in 2008.

The original cross produced several phenotypes, but Bruce Banner #3 became the monster in the room. Dark Horse describes #3 and #5 as the standout selections from fewer than a dozen original seeds, with #3 becoming the potency-driven flagship and #5 leaning harder into Strawberry Diesel's sweeter side. Bruce Banner #3 went on to become the best-known expression, earning a reputation for exceptionally high THC and eventually landing among High Times' celebrated strains.

Strawberry sweetness crashes straight into diesel, earth, and OG funk, with berry, citrus, and peppery spice working around the edges. The flowers tend to be long, chunky, and aggressively frosted, and that heavy resin production became nearly as important to Banner's reputation as its potency.
