Blue Power is one of the foundation strains of Las Vegas breeder Sin City Seeds, first created in 2010 by crossing a female Power clone with a male White Moonshine. Power combines Sour Dubble and Master Kush, while White Moonshine brings together The White and Blue Moonshine. The original F1 saw an extremely limited release in 2012 before the F2 made its wider debut the following year.
The strain became much bigger than that first small seed drop. Blue Power went on to become cornerstone breeding stock for Sin City Seeds, passing its genetics into later cultivars including SinMint Cookies and helping establish the breeder's signature mix of Kush, fruit, and funk.
Blue Power smells like berries got dropped into a bag of old-school Kush. Blueberry and sweet fruit ride over sour diesel, lemon, earth, and a deeper Kush funk, with some selections pulling out creamy or vanilla notes. The flowers tend to stay compact and dense, stacking chunky trichomes over green buds that can flash blue or purple underneath.
Word around the dispensary is Blue Power starts happy and euphoric before its heavier side begins taking over. The early stretch can feel bright and creative, but relaxation becomes the stronger theme as it settles in, giving this old-school Sin City flagship considerably more weight than its candy-sweet berry profile lets on.
Originally created in 2010, Blue Power is known for compact, dense, resin-heavy flowers and has since become important breeding stock in Sin City Seeds’ catalog.
