9D4

aka 9D4 R1

19 to 25 percent THC range

9D4 brings the ’94 funk back into rotation. Bred by Ethos Genetics, it pairs a 1994 Super Skunk selection with Original Glue, also known as GG4. The combination puts old-school skunk front and center, with Glue adding its unmistakable earthy-chemical edge. The release also appears as 9D4 R1.

The nose is loud: pungent skunk, diesel, and earth, with a reported chocolate-cacao note underneath. That darker flavor gives the fuel some depth without sweetening away the funk. Dense, bright-green buds carry rusty-orange pistils and a generous trichome coating. This one wears its Glue heritage on its sleeve.

Community reviews tend to describe an energetic, creative lift alongside happiness and focus, while other accounts emphasize physical relaxation. Cultivator notes describe an initial rush that eases into a laid-back finish. There’s room for both in this hybrid: a lively opening followed by a slower groove, rather than one fixed experience for every jar.

9D4 R1 is associated with dense flower stacking and substantial trichome coverage. Those tightly formed flowers make airflow and moisture management practical considerations as the colas fill out. Reliable cultivar-specific flowering times, mature height, and measured yields remain insufficiently documented.
