Dip Devices Little Dipper Dab Straw

The Dip Devices' Little Dipper Dab Straw is the mini-sibling of the brand's flagship Dipper — both are handheld dab devices used to vaporize concentrates. This straightforward device is compact and comes with a magnetic cover for easy portability. Just like its full size sibling, the Little Dipper produces thick, satisfying clouds with just the slightest inhale for smooth, consistent hits.

No mess, no fuss, it's the paired down and essential electronic dab device that can easily be enjoyed on the go.

Below, find out everything you need to know about the Little Dipper Dab Straw.

How does the Little Dipper Vaporizer work?

One of the best features of the Little Dipper vaporizer is how easy it is to use. It comes already assembled in a no-fuss box that has a quick-start guide and diagrams of the different pieces right on the box. While an abbreviated manual is helpful for more complex devices, the fact that all of the information comes printed on the packaging is in-line with the overall streamlined design.

The ergonomic design makes it a compact and portable device. The vaporizer comes with a magnetic cap that can be removed to reveal its heating coil. Operation is simple, with one main button that turns it on or off by pressing it five times. Press and hold the button to activate a heating cycle, and once the coil heats up (it will turn red when very hot), take a tiny 'sip' of your concentrate by lightly touching the hot coil to it and gently inhale through the opposite end.

The heating cycle turns off when you let go of the button, or automatically after 15 seconds. The hits are powerful, and it's easy to overdo it, so it's best to start with small inhales in order to get a feel for the power of each temperature setting. When the device needs to be charged it will flash red.

Note: it is not safe to use the device while charging.

What's included in the package:

Little Dipper Dab Straw and micro-USB rechargeable 650mAh battery already assembled. Note: Micro-USB charger not included.

Temperature settings

There are three temperature settings to choose from: blue (low), green (medium), and red (high), ranging from 450°F (green) to 600°F (red).

Press the main button three times to change between the temperature settings and your selected color will flash. The quick-heat coil is fast-acting which cuts down on wait time.

How do you clean the Little Dipper Dab Straw?

Keeping the heating coil clean is important to maintain good airflow and to get consistent and clean hits. To clean, remove the pieces (mouthpiece, reclaim chamber, and heating tip) and soak them in 90% isopropyl alcohol for about an hour, using a cotton swab to remove any remaining build up. Rinse with water and re-assemble.

What's the appeal?

The Little Dipper Dab Straw is revolutionary in its simplicity. No bigger than a typical vape pen, with a standard Micro-USB charging port, this is an easy to use and easy to transport device that also allows for precise consumption.

Being able to 'sip' dabs right from the concentrate container streamlines the experience, making it even easier than rolling up or packing a bow — there is literally no mess, it just needs to be cleaned every so often after build up. It takes a little practice to learn just how lightly to inhale from the mouthpiece, but once you get a feel for it, it makes it easy to include tasty dabs as part of your regular routine.

In addition to being an outstanding product, the company Dip Devices, also has a unique approach to giving back to social causes: 1% of all Little Dipper Dab Straw sales are donated to organizations designated by each color:

  • Black: Racial Justice via NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund
  • Blue: Marine Conservation
  • Yellow: Bee Preservation via Operation Honey Bee

At $30 it is almost too good to be true, and easily accessible for people who want to try out dabbing without making a huge investment.
