This is the first place my wife and I shopped after moving to Denver last August. I'm not sure whether the quality is the same, but their Skywalker OG was quite nice and enjoyable when I had it in August.
Now, unfortunately, they are not competitively priced. I know, I know, there will always be a spread of pricing for goods. But let's be honest with ourselves about this. You can use this site or another like leafly to easily confirm relative pricing, and frankly their recreational 1/8ths are priced 60% higher than several shops within just a few minutes driving time. Is that a deal-breaker? It shouldn't be. Sometimes you want a specific strain, and you pay a bit more to get it if the low price dispensaries aren't stocking it. Or maybe you just don't want to take the extra time to go someplace cheaper. Price isn't the only determinant of whether a shop is worth buying from, and The Giving Tree has a good atmosphere, helpful staff, and (when I shopped there) good quality buds.
Oh, and I think I recall them being easily wheelchair accessible. Not relevant to me, but worth noting to some prospective customers, I'm sure.

Things must've changed since these last reviews were written. The staff were friendly. The quality, however, was really quite poor, especially when prices were considered. I only looked at flowers so can't speak to extracts or edibles.
Everything I saw was bone dry and was beginning to brown. The smell was gone from most samples. It just seemed like it was sitting for far too long in containers that weren't airtight. I went ahead and bought some since the people were nice enough... $25/g or $60/eighth after tax!! We smoked half a joint that tasted like dirt and made us cough, tossed the rest and called it a loss.
Thanks for taking time to write; sorry for your dissatisfaction. The Laws in place require all product to be packaged in an opaque child-resistant container which all dispensaries are doing. The benefits of using these containers is that the herb stays fresher, the product won’t get crushed and the jars are reusable. And since these jars are medical grade plastic, the containers are entirely FDA approved and BPA-free. Also, our cannabis is 100% organic, grown without the use of herbicides or pesticides, exceeding Colorado’s standards. We have over 60+ strains which we rotate regularly so if you get a wild hair and decide to try our product again I’m confident we will change your mind. To be noted: all of our Recreational flower is priced at $20/g and all eighths are priced at $55/eighth and there is a 21% state tax that is unavoidable.
Was visiting Denver and decided to check this place out. Quality bud, exxxxxxcellent edibles selection (loves oven peanut butter chippy stock) and the friendliest staff I've encountered at a dispensary. My only complaint is bud is pre weighed and in bottles already. I didn't get shorted, but there's something about weighing in front of you that gives peace of mind. Excellent selection though!
Love you all at The Giving Tree! This was the first recreational dispensary I visited from out of state. What a warm welcome! I was educated by super bud tenders! Everyone made me feel at home. And yes...this is where I will ALWAYS go when in Denver. Thank you all for everything. I will be back.
Me and my lover loved this place. when you walk in you are greeted with friendly knowing staff that always have a good laugh right on hand. They can answer any questions I have. Their bud is great, can't wait to try their pre rolled
