Nice little shop

I just came in with a coupon for wax, didn't expect much from this place. The shop is clean and the staff is friendly enough. She warned me the quality of the coupon wax wasn't the best so I ended up checking out a different product. Seems like a good ploy to get people in buying the actual good stuff. Felt kind of bait-and-switched there. But I was pretty satisfied with the overall experience. Just don't go in with a coupon and expect to use it, lol.

Rip Off

1 person thought this review was helpful

I went in with a coupon from last week with no expiration date only to have white trash chick tell me that she won't honor it. What they are doing is completely illegal and I found it surreal that she mustered the courage to justify her idiocy. Their lack of quality and selection is just one more reason to avoid them at all cost.

The Ganja Gourmet

1 person thought this review was helpful

This place is amazing. It was the second dispensary I had ever visited after I got my medical card. The staff is always really friendly and they answer any question you may have. They have a huge selection of edibles and bud. I became a member and I get one 105$ ounce every month of top shelf. I recommend stopping by Ganja Gourmet.

It used to be so great!

1 person thought this review was helpful

I can't even begin to describe just how badly this place has gone downhill. Very little on their shelf is worth looking at, but once you open the jar you realize it wasn't worth smelling. I flat out asked my budtender, "Do you even cure this weed at all?" And she shrugged, she actually shrugged! Left without making a purchase. I used to love this place, the Twirling Hippie Cheesecakes, Smurphberry Jam, great concentrates, all gone, replaced by garbage. They need to bring back their old grower, and his strains.

Fresh. What is it? hmmm...

2 people thought this review was helpful

About a month ago or so, I walked in for the first time. It was memorable. When the 20-something female Hispanic budtender (no name tag) asked about my needs, my request was, "anything fresh with trichomes please". The cannabis that followed was void of scent, entirely! I repeated my request and her response was, "each person has a different notion of what the word, fresh, means to them". Wow, what?? Fresh happens when there's a strong marijuana scent present. The stronger the scent, the fresher it is (preferably a scent indicative to the strain of course). She asked me if I meant instead to say, "freshly in", as in newly arrived weed. I asked her if she could please elaborate. The explanation that followed, felt to me as if I was suddenly thrusted in a back-alley drug deal with a fast double-talking dealer that uses smoke-screen explanations and avoidance tactics. -but why? I stepped back a bit, taking-it-all-in, I looked intensely at the jars afar, then at the jars in front of me and sniffed them again to realize at that moment, that in fact there was NOTHING fresh here. She apparently tried to hide this fact by pretending not to know the definition of the word "fresh", and further justifing it with stating that everyone had their own meaning of the word "fresh" when it came to the subject of cannabis! Wow! She would make a great car sales person. No offense to these types of professions. If anyone is a successful car sales person, it is good to keep on being one. -but these are meds that you're supposed to be selling here.

All of the cannabis I saw here, whether it was from afar on the shelves or under my nose, lacked trichomes. 4 out of the 5 strains that I sniffed, lacked any scent at all. The fith strain had a very faraway scent reminescent of a dry pasteur. If I had grabbed a bud between my fingers, I am sure that it would've crumbled to a dry dust. To my observations, all of the cannabis at Ganja Gourmet had already expired long ago. I didn't bother to buy their edibles due to the abrasive condition of their cannabis. Chances are, you won't see the factory-stamped expiration date on them and therefore probably expired as well. Needless to say, I left without purchasing anything, and I felt really good about that decision. I, will never return. There are over 700 dispensaries and more to come.

For those who may not know, fundamentally, the stronger the marijuana scent, the fresher it is. The more trichomes (frosty appearance) visible on the bud, the stickier (trichomes=resin glands) and more potent it becomes. If the marijuana does not have a scent at all, it doesn't matter if it looks frosty. Most of those trichomes that you may be seeing, are inactive. Remember, no marijuana scent = dry, crumbly, very weak and expired weed. It hurts to smoke it, and it is extremely unhealthy to say the least. Good luck.

New Grower, oh well.

2 people thought this review was helpful

Unfortunately it looks like the days of high quality flowers at Ganja Gourmet are over. Edibles? Sure, but disaster is imminent. Hand trimming is gone, machines are coming in, individually cared for plants are going away to be replaced by agricultural style tables.

This dispensary has also banned me from reviewing them or commenting on their reviews, they need to swallow their pride and call their old grower, people raved about Smurphberry Jam, now GG can barely grow a good Kong.

denvershopgirl303 We miss you Smurph, and we wish you were still their grower!

denvershopgirl303 I miss the Smurphberry Jam a lot, but they shat on Smurph, so I doubt they'll be allowed to carry it anymore.

Edibles, atmosphere, need better flower :(

chill place, good edibles, flower ok, staff excellent, they genuinely try to help find a solution for their clients. It can get very busy, The other day I came in and it was packed, I was suprised to see an old dude in one of their shirts just hanging around not helping anyone. Kind of disappointing Mike always gives such good service. The ladies are always smiling and willing to help too.

Nice Buds

got some kick ass sour diesel (POTENT) and very tasty smurphberry jam; buds are generally decent quality and fairly priced.
I enjoy the atmosphere in Ganja Gourmet, always playing reggae music. Friendly and helpful staff, good people.
