Bay Area Safe Alternative (BASA) is a San Francisco Medical Marijuana Dispensary
Bay Area Safe Alternative, better known as BASA is a medical marijuana dispensary in the North of Panhandle (NoPa) neighborhood of San Francisco. They are proud to be among the longest running dispensaries in California, open since 2003. BASA is dedicated to providing San Francisco with low-cost, high quality, greenhouse and outdoor flowers. Additionally, they are one of the few dispensaries in Northern California with a large strain selection of purchasing cannabis by Free Weight. Their menu boasts one of the largest strain varieties in Northern California. BASA - San Francisco is passionate about providing quality medical marijuana that heals both mind and body. ( We also have a free parking lot, only dispensary in san francisco to have on site parking for free!!! ) BASA’s commitment to dispensing quality cannabis at an affordable cost and in a safe, professional environment serves as proof of the misguided recklessness of marijuana prohibition. They aim through their efforts to aid the cannabis movement and overturn the stigmas attached to marijuana. The longevity and durability of BASA - San Francisco as a dispensary is a testament to their hard-work and dedication to the cannabis community.
BASA - San Francisco sources their flowers both in-house and through organic grows from Northern California cultivators. Their Northern California flowers are grown outdoors, are hand-trimmed and slow cured. These same specially cultivated buds are what make BASA’s extracts and pre-rolls. BASA - San Francisco tests their cannabis through multiple laboratories, one of which being SC Labs, for purity and potency. BASA - San Francisco offers a wide variety of cannabis products, and with over 200 to choose from every patient can find a perfect fit. BASA Nova is a favorite flower strain on their menu, crossed from Afghani and organically grown from BASA Farm. Some of their other signature strains are Prophet Dream Weaver, Prophet Ripped Bubba OG and Prophet Lemon Drop. Wax enthusiasts love their Moxie products, and BASA is happy to supply their extracts and concentrates.
BASA’s medical marijuana dispensary offers the rarity of free parking. San Franciscans used to circling for blocks to find a spot can park near BASA with convenience and ease. Walk-ins are welcomed, and the compassionate and knowledgeable staff of BASA - San Francisco are eager to connect with their customers. BASA offers compassionate rates to medical cannabis patients who are veterans or seniors, and they have the longest established Compassionate Care Program in the state. BASA is delighted to offer a delivery service and generous discounts to new patients. BASA can be reached for questions, concerns or compliments through their phone line. If reached outside phone line hours, they encourage patients to leave a message and a BASA team member will get back in touch as soon as possible. Their store hours are, Monday - Friday 8:30 am to 10 pm; Saturday 9 am to 10 pm; Sunday 9 am to 9 pm. BASA has a centralized location catering to patients from or within the city as well as north of San Francisco patients in Marin County. BASA is proud to additionally offer their medical cannabis delivery service; providing the same great BASA service and products to your door step.
BASA’s cannabis dispensary is located North of the Panhandle, in the Western Addition/Divisadero Corridor neighborhoods of San Francisco. They’re hella rude and won’t serve you. I barely spoke but the guy with me was kicked out and then they just straight up said they don’t wanna serve us. Rude rude rude. They need to smoke more weed haha because obviously the girl had a personal issue going on and took it out on a few customers. Management should know they lost service because of the attitude issues. I specifically came to BASA for their hash, and have been a frequent patient, but I was disrespected and won’t mind going down the street to Ketama and get treated with RESPECT, never going back to BASA again.
I just discovered this dispensary a few weeks ago and it is amazing! No frills, but there is always parking, I’m in and out always within 5-10 min. The staff are really chill, you don’t get that pretentious vibe from the “bud tenders.” I’ve been getting the high grade shake and it’s always on point.
I have the line it gets some times not enough extracts other than that best prices ever
Visited today for the first time and I know I definitely will be coming back 🤗
First thing, they have amazing deals on their flour. You have a lot of choices in all categories. The staff are helpful and friendly. A true shop for the patients.
The last time I went here was last week because it was the closest club near where i was. I saw that they had a $100 oz of Lemon Drop, a strain i know to be usually a high quality strain. So i thought that i should check it out. First off, they had it in sandwich bags. I was kind of thrown off by that because all of the mmj clubs i have been to over the years have always put oz's in an inconspicuous bag to not draw attention. It had big buds with a bit of trim and it had a light smell. I wasn't trying to take too much time figuring out if i shouldn't get it. It looked alright and i didn't have much to spend, so i got it. When I got home and i really looked at the weed i saw that there were a ton of seeds. So i pretty much got an 1/8 of seeds, a 1/4 of trim, and the rest is alright. I know i bought it and am not complaining about that, that's my fault. I'm just mad because i didn't get any warnings about it having a lot of seeds or else i would have just bought a high quality 1/8th
I love BASA, I live on Hayes and they are Professional , and I love all the BoB Marley Products , they are open at 8:30 mornings .. I mean you really can't get any better.. there is Barbary Coast at 8:00 am.. But I live in the FILLMOE!! THANK YOU BASA
Is this place beautiful? No, but the lines pretty quick moving so you won't have to look at it long. How is the staff? Helpful and kind, though some are a little under informed on the products. That's being said they have a parking lot and street parking is pretty abundant which is super nice. The products have been good quality and compassionately priced. So are they my favorite? No, but they are super convenient and I visit at least once a month.
Ha, some of the reviews are funny, people be trippin. Basa always been cool with me and is a spot I hit up a couple times a week. I never been shorted on a bag, sometimes its over depending on the budtender. Prerolls are cheap, good quality and burn even. Last week they had a vendor in the lobby and I bought one cartridge, and got one free. Free $30 in my pocket. Buds good quality, budtenders are cool, most know their sh!t and prices are low. Parking lot is small and I got blocked in by some fool for 5 mins last time I was there, but its all good
