Went to Apothecary (or Apothecary 420 as Google maps designates it) today. I used to love this store because of their rewards points program. I drove all the way from Camarillo to visit this story. Drove. Past tense. First this store screwed their customers over by changing the rewards available under the rewards program with no notice. It was annoying but you could still get flower for WAY more points than before. Then, they changed the program completely, deleted everyone's points and blamed it on a system change. You can still get rewards points (now one point per purchase), you just can't use the one's you've spent years accruing like I did for the rewards that were promised when I wasted significant time to go to their store. They said it's because of the law. Now they offer discounts instead of free stuff. They couldn't explain why that justified deleting everyone's existing points. They said they sent out a text about it a few weeks ago but they admitted they didn't send it to all customers but instead only to preferred customers. Now what would make a business decide to not inform people who designated they prefer flower when the only reward they were offering at the time was flower? THAT'S right! Because they are now just another corporation, looking to screw people over for an extra dime. The manager told me the prices (which have just about doubled) now include tax. The tax they include is the highest bracket that is charged for recreational users. The manager told me I could have 15% off as a medical patient. Wouldn't you know they were already offering 15% off to all customers this weekend. I asked if that meant I got 30% off. He said no because they are trying to offer a break to recreational users .... I guess medical patients can bite them now that recreational is legal. Bye Felicia. Even though the manager did throw a freebie my way to appease me, I no longer have trust or respect for this store. BUYER BEWARE unless you support the way corporations treat people.
