Well, I did it. Went to Emerald Gilbert on Black Friday. This had to be busiest Dispensary in the East Valley. First of all, lots of great folks to meet and "compare notes." I had the friendliest Budtender, Kaily. She did a great job of making me feel welcome. 20% off Flower (and a bonus gm. of "Mystery Weed". It just couldn't get any better? Today was the first chance I had to visit the new location of Ponderosa Releaf. A beautiful Dispensary featuring the very best in Cannabis. Melissa waited on me, provided answers to my questions, and was professional. I came by for my Hempful Farms CBD tincture (great price, by the way), but could NOT keep from checking out the outstanding Flower. I am definitely coming back! I accompanied a New Patient (my Wife) to "The Mint" to take advantage of their "HALF OFF" sale on all things CBD. The gentlemen at the receptionist's desk were very helpful and courteous as we waited to be "called back". once we were admitted to the sales area, we were told that, in order to get "1/2 off" we would first have to purchase like product at full retail ( which is a 25% savings, NOT 50%). I know this is a popular "technique" to lure customers in, but I feel that the MMJ purveyors should be above all that ("Say what you mean and Mean what you say"). we then attempted to go forward with our purchase. We were told that a 2 oz. jar of Chronic Health ointment would be $70. I pointed out that the 2 oz. jar goes for $35 (the 4 oz. jar goes for $70). I was told that the computer said $70, so $70 it was. I then pulled up a price list from the makers of the ointment (showing that I was correct). It was only when the manager came out (and I forced him to look at the my documentation) that he admitted that the computer MIGHT not be accurate. I was embarrassed (as was my wife) and we left without purchasing anything. 1) If you bought ANY CBD product (especially Chronic Health Brand), check your receipt to see if you were overcharged. 2) As there is a brand new Harvest Dispensary a half block away, we have alternatives to shopping at The Mint. I have to say that I have had mixed results when shopping at Emerald Gilbert. I called ahead to make sure that they had the topical ointment I use. I was assured by 2 employees (names unknown) that they did, indeed, have what I was asking for (and would set it aside pending my arrival). I walked in 10 minutes later and checked in. I was then told that they did not, in fact, have what I had requested, and did not know when (or if) it would arrive. As this was not the first time (or even the second) that I had been disappointed, I started to leave in a huff. I decided, instead, to ask to speak with a Manager. Mr. Ty Neier came out and allowed me to accompany him back to his office, where I laid out my issues (and made some suggestions to make his Dispensary even better for all patients). Ty was very courteous, understanding, and seemed interested in what I had to say. I am drawn to this location as it is the closest Dispensary to my home. Mondays mean one thing...Ride to The Green Halo for my Meds. I rode my bike down (?) from Chandler and got right in. Hunter answered all my questions, got me 2 4 oz. jars of Chronic Health "Pain Re-leaf" Ointment, plus a Cannakiss Lip Balm. On Tuesday, September 26th, my lady and I stopped by to take advantage of the "20% Off Edibles, Topicals, and Tinctures" weekly special. We both use CHRONIC HEALTH products (for Pain and Arthritis), and we knew that EMERALD (usually) carries a complete assortment of these fine meds. Unfortunately, they had run out ( must be good? Heck Yeah!). Our Bud Tender (Ryan H.) took care of this situation by taking our info. and agreeing to call when a new supply of CHRONIC HEALTH products arrive. Alas, it has been over a week (another "Edibles, Topicals, and Tinctures" Sale has come and gone, and (apparently) still no C.H. delivery, so I was forced to go to a competitor and spend my money. I saw that Metro Meds was offering a great discount ALL MONTH on all CBD products, so I road over from Chandler to put them to the test. After a (very short) wait, Olivia took me back and confirmed the CBD special. I loved the "Throw Back" waiting room, with murals, multicolored couches, and the obligatory 1,000 Lb. Rock Buddha. There was virtually no wait, and My Bud Tender ("Lui Ocho") took great care of me. I decided to choose Chocolate Orange (an Indica Dom.), which looked fabulous. If you get the chance, try this place out. I can't wait to return! (PhatTommy Says).

Why Did I leave my Chandler home, ride my Harley for an hour & a half to Green Halo (in the heat)? Why did I pass other Dispensaries, put up with a crowded Reception area (20 patients ahead of me), wait (the better part of) an hour hour, and do so willingly? Because it is WORTH IT! They carry the full line of CHRONIC HEALTH products, and gave me a 35% discount (today that saved me approx. $40.00). Derrick was my Bud Tender and he was GOOD! I know, I know, I am probably encouraging all MMJ patients to crowd this tiny place, but DANG IT, they have GOOD (no, make that GREAT) medicine. As I headed out the door for the scorching ride home, I had a smile on my face! God Bless the folks at GREEN HALO and all who shop there.

Early this morning, I got a notice from HALO that all Topicals and Tinctures were on special (35% OFF!). In my household (3 cardholders), we insist on Chronic Health for our ailments, so I ran (limped) to my Harley, fired it up, and took off for Tucson (I live in Chandler). Upon my arrival, I was assisted by Derrick, who was friendly , knowledgeable, and helpful (he provided me with some excellent literature, which I will share with my friends). Metro Meds is one of my favorite MMJ destinations. I just got back from spending a few minutes with Katie, who was a pleasure to deal with.
