Bought a gram of CO2 oil here for 45 dollars a week ago because it's a great price. Went back again and bought 1g Colorado Cannabis Co. Longs Peak White CO2 Oil. Great price, OK product (64% THC) and was planning to make them my new CO2 oil stop with this great price. Came home and noticed a small cloud in the syringe and a very slight opaqueness overall. It did not seem like a major problem so I loaded the vaporizer pen (PuffCo w/ KandyPens Galaxy atomizer), hit, and it was much harsher than I was used to from this product type. Looked at the syringe and again saw the opaque cloud in the middle of the oil and a few tiny bubbles. This looked irregular so I called the Terrapin manager and after much discussion, he said I could come to the store to get help from him or someone else there. When I had this Same problem 1x before at a Different store, the bad oil looked and smoked the same. I called that store and a manager quickly apologized for the irregularity and said come-in. I went back to that store and they sold me another oil syringe for phive dolla and gave me some virtual "points" for their rewards program after confirming the oil I bought looked weird. They made it comfortable and easy and I still love buying from them for the quality product and customer service. When I went into Terrapin to meet the manager 2/11 around 6 pm, the security guard did not know if the manager was in the store or not, so I approached the front desk girl. She went to the back and returned with a guy who then took me back and went behind his bar and said "let's see what you got." First he tried to say my oil looked fine and argued with me for five minutes, facetiously stating "It's always harsh when I smoke Oil", and then saying it could look irregular because I had used the syringe plunger. He then called over manager 2 - the supposed oil expert. Manager 1 and 2 looked at and discussed my bad oil together in private from me, for a minute or two. They both came back and manager 2, oil expert, convinced manager 1 my oil was actually cloudy with what he said could be "super critical gas" (that's supposed to be the extraction material not the end-product, I believe), or chlorophyll or air. We all agreed the product I bought looked irregular even after comparing mine to another gram of the same strain they pulled out. Then they took turns arguing with me and stated "that's just chlorophyll man, just take it back and smoke it" and "I smoke a lot of oil, and I don't worry about my health". They emphasized there was nothing they could do but offer a discount if I bought more products there. This was very uncomfortable, arguing Product and Health-Safety issues about an obviously irregular product, with 2 staff at once over a product they sold me. After wasting too much of my time I expressed my concerns for the safety of my health and walked out of the store with my $45 dollars of visually impure oil to throw it in the trash. This bad oil causes unusual coughing and very irritated and itchy nose and throat when vaporizing at low temps, unlike 97% of the many different CO2 extracted cannabis oils I've vaporized in oil pens over the last two years in Boulder. The benefit of CO2 oil is ingesting clean active ingredients only and not plant matter like chlorophyll, and Certainly NOT other unknown irritating ingredients that the retailer can't identify! Turpins would taste great in the oil and be welcomed unlike residual chlorophyll. For a harsher hit, one would buy a different product than CO2 extracted cannabis oil, such as flower or other fuller-profile cannabis extracts. I gave the product manufacturer and the store the opportunity to do or say something to help me, and maybe I will be able to update this review. Otherwise stick to rec. stores a few blocks up closer to downtown, or the big one in N. Boulder near Iris/28th with their carefully crafted oil - it's 35% pricier ($70/g vs. $45/g) BUT, their concentrates are 30% more potent on average, and are smooth and as-advertised every-time. You might consider going elsewhere and taking a 5% price hit for a safer product retailed by professionals in a good environment without lines. If you buy CO2 oil anywhere you should ask to look at it first before you pay the store. CO2 oil should be translucent and, NOT appear Turbid, Opaque, unusually yellow/bright/off color, or Cloudy. Very clear light orange is OK (Sat) and Dark, clear Amber is good (Ind). If its not perfectly clear, it likely has chlorophyll or plant matter from not having enough pressure during extraction, or may contain other unidentified contaminants from the chemical extraction process. Everyone's health is on the line with the industries always-evolving, un-monitored and un-tested production methods and product types. Nobody has tested for plastic and soft black-rubber chemical leaching from the cheap syringes you leave sitting around w/ potent plant concentrates in, for months and you tell your customer to go smoke something that has unidentifiable substances in it. A few months back the State Government destroyed Tons of pot in many local dispensaries, that they had produced w/ over 30+ chemicals known to be hazardous to humans by the FDA and not allowed on your food. Have a pot-brownie! If you want to be industry big shots take some responsibility and don't stand-behind product of a minuscule $45 value that you don't even know is safe or pure, and up-professionalism or have HR re-tool.

In buying recreational pot it's tough to find a product that is properly grown, flushed, dried and cured, but at Karing Kind, the bud is just that. It's a product that has been kindly handled and posses all the valuable trichomes that existed when it was clipped from the branch. I found the bud here to to be superior to any other rec. store I have visited in Boulder (been to 3) or Denver (visited 5). The bud tender at Karing Kind told me exactly how and where the product was grown and how it was dried and cured - ask a tender elsewhere and they will probably just smile or laugh and say something that does not make a lot of sense. The buds at Karing Kind were not overly dry or too small as is often seen at other rec. stores... Fair prices, worth the two minute drive out of town to get a superior organically grown product with a great strain list, refreshing not to see chemdawg... Thanks Karing Kind keep it up.
