Tuna God gives British Columbia’s loud-jar tradition something to worship. Bred by BC Bud Depot, it crosses Tuna Kush with BC God Bud, bringing two established BC names into one exceptionally resinous package. The family tree is straightforward. The smell is considerably less polite.

Skunk and fuel lead the charge, with batches adding earthy spice, a little fruit, and sweetness underneath the funk. That sweeter edge doesn’t clean up the jar so much as give the skunk something to argue with. The flavor carries a deep Kush finish, and smokers have praised a smooth delivery despite the nose making absolutely no effort to behave. This is the sort of flower that makes “just opening it for a second” a household announcement.

Dense buds and dark green foliage carry a substantial coat of resin. The breeder specifically highlights that trichome production for extraction potential, giving the concentrate crowd a reason to look past the fish joke. There’s more to this catch than the name, although visible frost alone won’t tell you what it yields in the wash.

Those who’ve stuck with this strain describe satisfying potency and pronounced relaxation, with some finding it sleepy and another enjoying a small daytime session. BC Bud Depot describes both physical and cerebral effects, so the experience has more going on than an automatic lights-out switch. Still, the slower reports make a persuasive case for clearing the evening. Put the phone on silent. Let somebody else take the bait.

BC Bud Depot released Tuna God as regular seed, so a seed run can produce both male and female plants. The breeder lists it for indoor cultivation, with a flowering window of 7–8 weeks, or approximately 49–56 days.

The main draw is dense flower formation and substantial resin production. Mature height, measured indoor yield, outdoor yield, and an outdoor harvest date aren’t supplied in the breeder description. Its indoor flowering window should not be presented as a confirmed outdoor finishing schedule.

For extraction-minded people, the resin is the invitation to investigate.
