Tropicana Cookies brings GSC Forum Cut together with Tangie in one of the loudest citrus crosses of its generation. The original F1 is attributed to breeder Harry Palms, while Oni Seed Co. pushed the genetics forward with the Tropicana Cookies F2 that became widely circulated. The cultivar's reputation got another boost when it took first place Sativa at the 2019 IC 420 Growers Cup.
Tangerine doesn't knock politely here. Fresh orange peel, tart citrus, and tropical fruit come charging through, followed by sweet cookie dough, cream, earth, and peppery spice. Tropicana Cookies can be just as loud visually, throwing deep purple and sometimes nearly black flower beneath a heavy frosting of trichomes and fiery orange pistils.
Community reviews tend to describe an upbeat rush of happiness, energy, and euphoria that keeps the experience moving rather than weighing it down. Focus and sociability can ride alongside that early lift, with enough relaxation underneath to smooth out the edges. Tropicana Cookies didn't become a modern breeding favorite by being subtle. It looks loud, smells louder, and tastes like somebody weaponized a tangerine.
Tropicana Cookies is easy to grow indoors or outside where it flowers in nine weeks or September, respectively. The cultivar produces a central cola and strong branches that benefit from Sea of Green (SOG) or Screen of Green (ScrOG).
Its many buds are large, dense, and coated with resin. One phenotype produces purple flowers; the other, green. It has average yields that can be increased by using SOG or ScrOG, according to Alchimia.
