Strawpaya

Not to be confused with the Strawberry Papaya (Strawberry x Papaya) strain, Strawpaya is actually the name of two genetically distinct strains.

Origin 1: Indica-dominant hybrid (Unknown Breeder)

The most widely known variety of Strawpaya is a cross of Strawberry Diesel Cookies X Tropaya. Though it’s difficult to pinpoint an original breeder, it is a popular stock strain from Groove Solventless.

Fans describe a potent and relaxed smoking experience, ideal for evening usage, with a spicy and sweet flavor. Buds have tremendous bag appeal, sporting dark foliage with vibrant purple hues, bright orange pistils, and a generous dusting of trichomes.

Origin 2: Balanced hybrid (MFNY)

With a complex peppery palate and relaxed but focused effects, the second variety of Strawpaya is a cross of Strawguava and Papaya most commonly associated with MFNY. Reviews of this type describe a similarly balanced but relaxed suite of effects, often describing it as a lightly indica-leaning hybrid.

Several sources attribute the strain to Bloom Seed Co. or Oni Seeds, but it remains difficult to trace back to an original breeder — though it is worth noting that Bloom and Oni both developed their own distinct varieties of Strawguava.
