Sour Tsunami brings the diesel without automatically flooring the accelerator. A pioneering CBD-rich hybrid from Lawrence Ringo of Southern Humboldt Seed Collective, it carries a breeding history with a few extra turns. Ringo crossed NYC Diesel with Sour Diesel, repeatedly returned the offspring to the latter, then introduced a local selection called Ferrari before another diesel backcross produced the finished line.
The nose keeps its fuel credentials intact: sour citrus, lime peel, earthy musk, and a little pine, softened by a creamy sweetness. That combination gives the jar some bite without letting the sour notes swallow everything else. Resin-coated flowers develop into tapered clusters, with green buds and orange pistils supplying the classic look.
Regulars who keep this jar on deck describe relaxed, uplifted, and focused effects, with CBD-rich selections offering a gentler experience than many THC-dominant cultivars. The name promises a tidal wave, but the appeal is often a more manageable current. Higher-THC batches can still bring noticeable intoxication, so the cannabinoid balance matters more than the name.
Sour Tsunami generally grows medium-tall, with room between branches and enough stretch to deserve some headroom. Indoor flowering commonly takes about 60–65 days, while outdoor plants may finish around mid-October in suitable Northern Hemisphere climates. Mature flowers form tapered, resinous clusters.
