While some strain listings are confused about the origins of Sour Blueberry, breeder Humboldt Seed Organization makes it clear: this slightly sativa-leaning hybrid strain is a cross between Blueberry and Sour Diesel #2 (not "an unknown sour strain"). The flavor of Sour Blueberry is best described as "mouth-watering," with distinct notes of ripe, juicy blueberries, sour citrus, and a powerful punch of diesel.
While Sour Blueberry is sativa-leaning by heritage, the effects are quite powerful, the kind of invigoration that fills you with energy and happiness, but may leave you a little unfocused — dose and tolerance-dependent, of course. Some people feel the kind of invigoration you get from Jack Herer, while others are overwhelmed by the heady effects and may become couch-locked.
Sour Blueberry is a similar but separate strain from Sour Blueberry #2, a cross between Subrob's Sour Diesel and Blue Dabney.
