Sonata
Sonata is a hybrid with more than one arrangement: a MAC-and-Italian Ice family offered by Cresco and FloraCal, plus a separate Dosidos-linked release from Medocann. The name stays the same; the genetics change the tune.
Origin 1: Cresco identifies its Sonata as MAC #7 × Italian Ice. FloraCal specifies its own MAC cut crossed with Italian Ice, giving the shared family a selection-specific distinction.
Origin 2: SEVEN by Medocann lists Do-Si-Dos as Sonata’s lineage, without naming a second parent or detailing the selection’s breeding history.
Cresco’s version brings sweet cake, floral notes, earth, and pine. FloraCal sharpens the profile with fresh dough, mint, lime, and fuel. That mint-and-citrus bite gives the sweetness some attitude. Medocann’s version takes another direction, pairing sweet pine and lemon with pepper. Same name on the jar, noticeably different notes underneath.
Word around the smoke circle points to calm, uplifting effects from Cresco’s flower, with physical ease that can leave smokers feeling floaty while still interested in the afternoon. FloraCal’s flower has drawn praise for a fuller body buzz, easy laughter, and an especially happy headspace. The MAC-and-Italian Ice family can turn the volume down physically without muting the mood.
Origin 1: Cresco and FloraCal document Sonata as a commercially cultivated flower. A verified public seed release, seed format, flowering schedule, plant-height range, and yield figures have not been established for these selections.
Origin 2: Medocann documents indoor cultivation and hand trimming for its Sonata, with medium-to-large finished buds. Public seed specifications, flowering time, plant height, and yield figures are not established.
