Obsession gives headstash collectors three different reasons to stock the shelf. One goes dark, creamy, and gassy; another brings old-school liquorice and heavy relaxation; the third parks a fuel pump in a tropical fruit stand. The breeder matters here because these family trees don’t share a trunk.
Origin 1: The Grateful Seeds. This version crosses Jealousy F3 with 26MM from In House Genetics. Creamy dessert notes meet concentrated sweetness and gas, with the familiar character of Sunset Sherbet and Gelato #41 running through the aroma. Earth and light fruit round out the richness. The nose has expensive taste and absolutely no indoor voice.
Under the frost, these flowers run dark, with deep purple coloration and substantial resin coverage. Grateful emphasizes heavy buds and generous production, so the visual appeal comes with some actual weight behind it. Specific effects for this version remain thinly documented; the older indica’s sleepy reputation shouldn’t automatically follow it into the jar.
Origin 2: World of Seeds. This older Obsession takes a more traditional route, with liquorice flavor, a strong aroma, and dense, compact dried buds. Its catalogue calls it 90% indica and describes a deeply relaxing, sedating high. This is the version with a stronger claim on the evening couch.
The ancestry needs one honest asterisk. World of Seeds’ description traces a Southern Brazilian selection crossed with Cinderella 99 and Matanuska Tundra. Its genealogy instead lists Gilgit Valley crossed with a combination of White Rhino, Black Domina, and Jack Herer. Those accounts conflict, so neither gets to masquerade as a settled pedigree.
Origin 3: Kali Grown. This regular-seed version crosses Super Boof with a layered combination of Tally Man, ZOZ, Eddie Lepp OG, and Sour Banana Sherbet. Papaya, ripe peach, and banana lead the aroma, with fuel underneath. Fruit salad apparently found the gas can. Kali Grown hasn’t established a THC range, fixed indica/sativa ratio, or detailed effects profile for this release.
Across the name, the clearest effects guidance belongs to the older World of Seeds line: introspective headspace, substantial physical relaxation, and a potentially sleepy finish. Grateful’s creamy gas and Kali Grown’s tropical nose offer different reasons to get interested, but flavor alone won’t tell you where the high lands.
The Grateful Seeds’ feminized Obsession flowers in 60–70 days and stretches hard through approximately the third week of bloom. Give it vertical room and support early. The breeder recommends two layers of netting to manage vigorous growth and hold up the heavy buds near harvest. This Obsession can get carried away; the branches need backup.
World of Seeds’ feminized version takes approximately eight to nine weeks indoors, with outdoor harvest around late September to early October in suitable Northern Hemisphere climates. The breeder favors mild outdoor conditions and lists strong pest and mold resistance, although those claims don’t make the plants invulnerable. A grower account describes a large central cola and a quick finish, while SeedFinder’s grow review notes compact dried flowers.
Kali Grown offers regular seeds, which can produce male and female plants. Its product description does not establish flowering time, height, or yield. Keep that grow plan separate from the other two versions rather than borrowing their calendars.
