Mother Gorilla
Mother Gorilla puts a little Glue in the family business. Royal Queen Seeds crossed Reina Madre, also called Queen Mother, with Original Glue (GG4) to create this 70% sativa hybrid. The pairing brings Reina Madre’s sweet, sour, spicy character together with the chocolate-and-diesel side of GG4.
There’s a family-record correction worth making: the original Royal Madre paired Reina Madre with Jack the Ripper. Mother Gorilla replaced that pairing with GG4 genetics. “Formerly Royal Madre” describes the product’s history, not an unchanged cross with a new label.
Chocolate, earth, citrus, and pepper give the profile depth, with herbs and skunky pungency keeping the sweetness in check. The chocolate comes with dirty boots. The breeder describes resin-rich flowers, but a consistent bud color and shape are not established across every seed-grown plant.
The breeder’s effects account leans motivating, creative, and social, with stronger euphoria as the dose increases; its data sheet also lists calm. That makes the reported experience broader than an all-energy sativa pitch. The Glue in the pedigree doesn’t automatically glue every session to the couch.
Mother Gorilla is a feminized photoperiod cultivar. The breeder’s structured specifications list indoor heights of 60–100 centimeters and outdoor heights of 140–180 centimeters.
Flowering is listed at 60–65 days, while accompanying descriptions allow nine to ten weeks. Treat that as an approximate finishing window rather than a fixed harvest date.
Listed production is 450–500 grams per square meter indoors and 500–550 grams per plant outdoors, with an early-October harvest in suitable Northern Hemisphere conditions. These are breeder estimates, dependent on the plant and environment.
Older Royal Madre records list an approximately eight-week flowering period and different outdoor dimensions. Those specifications belong to the earlier Jack the Ripper cross.
