Melon OG

Popularized in the early 2020s by LA-based Wonderbrett, the Melon OG strain is an indica-leaning hybrid first bred by Karma Genetics in the Netherlands. Developed from a cross of OG Kush and Melon, it’s one of several Melon hybrids that Karma has introduced over the years.

Featuring large buds and leafy, delicate growth, Melon OG boasts a thick crusting of trichomes with long, wiry orange pistils that tuft together in bright patches. Reviews indicate that the scent and flavor of melon dominates, though you can also pick out herbal notes of mint and pine.

Fans mostly report a potent but relaxed body high that rarely becomes hazy or sedate. Though Melon OG is a fan favorite underdog in the SoCal cannabis market, where Wonderbrett pheno-hunted the American variety, it can be a relatively exotic find otherwise.
