Mad Dog is an indica-leaning hybrid strain bred by Solfire Gardens from a cross of Purple Marmalade and Hood Candyz. (Note: a separate sativa-dominant cultivar called Mad Dawg, bred by Dank Genetics from Starfighter and Lemon Alien Dawg, shares a similar name but is an entirely different strain.) The Solfire cut brings together citrus-forward genetics with a gassy, fuel-soaked backbone, and the result is a cultivar that hits the nose with layers of sharp diesel, bright orange peel, and a musky, peppery funk underneath. The flavor follows suit with notes of skunky citrus and an earthy pine finish that lingers well after the exhale.
