Lemon Up sounds simple enough until you crack open the genetics. More than one cultivar answers to the name, and the lemon is about the only thing they all agree on.
Origin 1: Archive Seed Bank bred the best-documented Lemon Up by crossing Do-Si-Dos #18 with Lemon G. This version leans slightly indica at roughly 60% indica / 40% sativa, with THC commonly reported around 18–22%. Lemon zest leads the nose, backed by mint, flowers, earthy Kush, and a touch of sweetness.
Origin 2: Another Lemon Up lineage is reported as Lemon Skunk crossed with OG Kush #18. This version keeps the citrus front and center but pushes deeper into skunk, earth, and Kush funk. Documentation around the original breeder and potency is considerably thinner than it is for the Archive version.
Origin 3: A separate version has been attributed to Lemon Glue crossed with GSC. Here the lemon profile picks up sweeter cookie, vanilla, and gassy notes, but breeder and potency information remain poorly documented.
Origin 4: Preferred Gardens carries its own Lemon Up bred from Lemon Tree × TK BX2. This version is sativa-leaning and has recently appeared in the mid-20% THC range, pairing sharp lemon zest and Kushy citrus with a sweeter finish.
Across the different versions, citrus is the calling card, but the experience can move around with the genetics. Reports most often land on energetic, creative, euphoric, and focused, with enough relaxation underneath to keep the ride from feeling completely wired. For the Archive cut especially, Lemon Up earns the “Up” with a bright daytime reputation that matches the name.
Lemon Up's cultivation profile depends on which genetic version is in the garden. Archive Seed Bank's Do-Si-Dos #18 × Lemon G version grows as a moderately indica-leaning hybrid, with sturdy branching, good resin production, and dense flowers that can carry the sharp citrus character of the Lemon G side. Plants generally finish indoors in roughly eight to nine weeks.
Other Lemon Up versions can behave considerably differently, particularly the more sativa-leaning cuts, which may stretch more and develop a taller, more open structure. With several unrelated crosses circulating under the same name, flowering time, plant height, yield, and overall growth pattern should be treated as breeder- and phenotype-dependent rather than universal Lemon Up traits.
