Kurple, also known as Kurple Fantasy, is a vibrantly colored cannabis strain with two origin stories.
Origin 1: Kurple Fantasy by Imperial Genetics
Kurple Fantasy was created in 2007 by Imperial Genetics in Denver. A cross between Old Man Purps and their famous ’92 OG, Kurple Fantasy is known for its spicy, floral, and licorice notes. Imperial Genetics' Kurple Fantasy has won a few High Times Cannabis Cups as well.
Origin 2: Kurple by Cult Classic Seeds
To get Kurple, the breeders crossed a high-potency cut of OG Kush with the strain Old Man Purps, which descended from purple indica landraces native to Pakistan. Named for its heritage strains Kush and Purple, Kurple’s licorice flavors and high levels of THC content won the strain second place in the 2012 High Times Denver Cannabis Cup.
Growers report Kurple grows to a relatively squat height and reaches its full maturity in 50 to 70 days when grown indoors. Kurple’s buds sport a rainbow of orange pistils, lime green leaves, and purple patches throughout a glittering blanket of trichomes.
